In recent weeks we've seen everything from glass hair to toasted coconut hair, and just when you thought that hair couldn't be more associated with the stuff we eat and drink, we stumbled across something called "mauve champagne" hair.

Unlike last autumn's hairstyle of choice, "champagne bronde", mauve champagne is an extension of a blonde balayage from Arizona-based hairstylist, Tara Nicole, Allure reports. With a custom-made mauve-hued formula, the style looks different depending on what light you're in. Sometimes it looks like a perfect golden champagne blonde, and other times it's more metallic and peachy in tone.

"The best thing about mauve champagne hair is it will fade back to a gorgeous blonde," Tara told the publication. But the process isn't as quick and simple as it first seems. "These lighter metallic and silver colors can be very high-maintenance and require upkeep," the hairstylist added. "Getting hair light enough can be quite a challenge if any permanent pigment has been put onto the hair in the past."

If you're interested in trying out the look, Tara recommends seeing a colour specialist who will be able to determine if your hair is suitable for the bubbly-inspired style.
In any case, the look is just gorgeous, take a gander below...

How's that for a dose or two of inspiration?
