A man has taken to social media to share the messages his now-former boss sent him criticizing his work, despite having a broken foot.
Sharing the text exchange to Reddit under the username 'hestolemysmile', the ex-employee captioned the post: "Quit my job last night, it was nice to be home to make the kids breakfast and take them to school today! Off to hunt for a new opportunity, wish me luck".
In the screenshot, the Redditor revealed that he received a message from his boss reading: "Good evening [me], I was reviewing the cameras from our shift today and noticed that you were sitting on a stool for the majority of your shift. This is completely unacceptable behavior and we will be discussing it tomorrow before shift."
Explaining his former role in a subsequent post, the Redditor explains that he worked at a healthy living fulfillment warehouse, packing orders for $16 an hour.

In his response to his boss, the Redditor explained that he was using the stool due to the fact that he has two broken bones in his left foot, and had cleared this with his line manager.
He went on to explain that despite the injury (and the use of a stool), his work output was still to a high standard, as he replied: "I'm not sure you're aware, but we do have a ranked list for packing displayed directly above our stations. My efforts earned me first place today."
He then asked his boss: "So, just to be clear - my impressive performance was overshadowed by the fact I was uncomfortable enough while doing it?"

Livid by this response, his boss replied: "I'm really not appreciated your attitude. You could have just said the first part where it was cleared with another lead instead of being disrespectful. This type of behavior isn't going to get you anywhere here."
To which our Redditor replied: "Hey, thanks for wasting my precious off time with some garbage you didn't bother to investigate beforehand," before going on to explain that his boss' attitude is the reason why the company struggles to retain staff.
"I'm not concerned with going 'anywhere' there. It's a toxic environment with ignorant people at the helm. I won't be in tomorrow or ever again," he adds.
His now-former boss then hesitantly replied: "We don't need to rush to you leaving. Let's talk in the morning and we can sort this out."
"No thanks. Have a good life," the now-ex employee responded.
Unsurprisingly, the post received an outpouring of praise and support from other social media users, with one person writing: "Hahaha hell yes, you’re a badass! Props to you! Good luck and I hope you get the job you deserve!"
In his update, the former employee explained that despite falling on hard times recently, he refuses to be bullied by anybody after having plenty of abuse throughout his life.
He then adds: "I applied to several places yesterday. But I think I’m going to take a week off. The park near our house has a lot of garbage and I’ve wished that I had more time to clean it up a little as our kids love it there, so that’s how ill spend my week before getting back to the grind. I just want to give something back."
As well as thanking people for their support, he sent another message to other hard-working people out there: "There are opportunities out there. Don’t settle for being treated as less than human. We are better than that.
"We are what makes the world go round. It doesn’t matter what they are selling if there is no one to man the stores, answer the phones, or take out the garbage. Their dreams hinge on us more so than ours do on them."
Bravo, that man!
