Mom 'plays dead' after kids walk in on her having sex

A mom has candidly opened up about the moment her children barged in as she was having sex with her partner - and shared her hilarious response.

The moment you have children, so much of life as you once knew it changes immediately.

Your home gets more cluttered, your bills get more expensive, and your sex life... well, let's just say that it needs to be more thoroughly regimented. No more spontaneous nooky in the kitchen at 2:00PM.

However, even when you think it's safe for a little bump and grind, your kids can have other plans.

Just ask mom-of-four Jessica Hood, who says she went into "cardiac arrest" after her children barged into her bedroom as she was having sex with her husband, Karl.

The mommy blogger, author, and mental health advocate shared the hilarious tale with her 54,000+ Instagram followers, starting the post by writing: "Busted mid thrust."

Hood then explained that she thought they were safe: "It's all happened to us. Its 9.30pm on a Wednesday what could possibly go wrong? Little bit of nookie never hurt anyone right?"

But after getting down to it, the kids burst through the bedroom door. "I thought my heart couldn't race any faster during such an intimate moment but now I'm on the verge of cardic arrest," Hood wrote.

She added: "It was like a stampede of elephants except there was no warning. I mean Why would there be?! They're meant [to] be asleep!!"

Hood continued: "So here I am, naked, not my best angle, Legs sky high! Lucky I had Karl's pastey white a** blocking my 5'oclock shadow because it could of been so much worse [sic]."

However, the embarrassed mom then revealed what she did in response.

Explaining that her "mom instinct kicked in", Hood "did what anyone else would do in a situation like that".

She played dead.

The mom continued: "I played bloody dead!! I even threw a little bit of the tongue out the side of my mouth. YEP I actually did that."

After quickly adjusting themselves, the mom had hoped they were quick enough that the kids wouldn't have noticed.

But Jessica explained that her kids are young but not as innocent as she would like. "Lily is 7 and already gives the impression she knows a lot," she wrote.

It didn't take long before the kids to ask what mommy and daddy were doing. To which Karl responded: "We are play fighting. I'm giving mommy a massage."

So, did the kids buy it? Well... no.

As Jessica explained: "Karl then tells them to get back to bed and our act of love seem to go unnoticed without any questions. That was until I heard Lily walking off with Logan up the hallway.

"She *giggles* mom and dad were doing sex. Then Logan lets out a big laugh."

Jessica then ended her story by joking: "Just wonderful! I've scarred my kids for life, either that or I've set them up for a life of 'blackmailing mommy and daddy'.

"They have one over us and I'm worried. Kids are more clued on than we give them credit for. Be warned, next week we may have a pony in our backyard and a brand new swimming pool."

Don't worry, Jessica! It is all part and parcel of parenthood!
