A Canadian sex worker has revealed the two nationalities of men she currently refuses to see as clients after a series of negative experiences.
Larissa Pelissero shared the details in a TikTok video, where she explained why she stopped accepting clients from India and Pakistan before recently reconsidering her position.
According to Pelissero, the decision stemmed from incidents she encountered earlier in her career when she charged lower rates and did not require screening procedures or deposits from prospective clients.
Explaining the situation, Pelissero said: “When I was first starting out, my rates were about half what they are now, and I also didn't do screening or deposits back then because I just wanted as many clients as possible, so I would not require any screening.
“One thing I noticed was, one, that the majority of my clients were from those countries, and the second one was I was also noticing patterns in how they treated me. One thing is for sure, and you can't really argue with me on this: India and Pakistan have very strong rape cultures; that is just a fact, and I noticed it, and especially how they treated me.”
She went on to describe a number of issues she said she experienced with some clients, including attempts to negotiate agreed prices, what she described as aggressive behavior, disrespect, and concerns about hygiene.
Pelissero said one encounter had a particularly significant impact on her decision.
She said: “A lot of those things obviously left a very bad taste in my mouth, but the thing that pushed me over the edge was the fact that I saw a client from one of those countries and he tried to force me to do the do without a condom on.
“And that was extremely traumatizing, and what's worse is I went to the police about this; I had his full name and everything, and they said that they couldn't do anything about it. And I was really scared because if something like that happened again, then I go to the police, they wouldn't do anything, right, and so I stopped seeing people from those countries to protect myself.”
Pelissero explained that this experience led her to stop accepting clients from India and Pakistan, citing concerns for her personal safety.
Despite her previous stance, Pelissero said she is now considering giving clients from those countries another chance because her business practices have changed.
She explained that she now charges higher rates and requires both screening and deposits before appointments.
Discussing her current thinking, she said: “I'm wondering, you know, maybe I should start seeing them again. Because I do require screening and a deposit.
“And my prices are higher. Maybe they will treat me differently, and so I'm going to give it another shot. I'm going to start seeing people from those countries again. Obviously, if I get the same bullshit, I'm not going to see them anymore.”
Pelissero also rejected suggestions that her position was motivated by racism, stating: “This has nothing to do with race, by the way, if you're going to put some like racist bullshit in my comments or say that I'm a racist, just don't, honestly. I know my intentions, and I know it's not about race.”
