Two-year-old boy is best friends with a 5-foot-tall skeleton
The internet has fallen in love with an adorable two-year-old boy called Theo and his budding friendship... with a five-foot-tall plastic skeleton.
Theo first met his skeletal friend when he was helping his mom, Abigail Brady, clear out the family basement after it had flooded.

After running upstairs for a brief moment, Abigail suddenly heard her toddler shouting: "Mom, mom, help, help, help," as Theo was dragging the skeleton up the stairs.
Finding the entire situation rather humorous, Abigail let her son bring the skeleton upstairs.
She said: "I was like, 'Oh my gosh that is so funny.' So I brought it upstairs. [I thought] I’ll just start decorating for Halloween early."

But after telling Theo that they were going to the reservoir, the toddler refused to get in the car unless the skeleton came too - and so, Abigail also brought the spooky sidekick along.
When they arrived at the reservoir, Theo refused to leave his boney buddy in the car, forcing Abigail to bring the skeleton along.

Speaking to TODAY Parents, Abigail said: "I was like, 'This is going to be fun. We’ll just bring the skeleton with us and it’ll be a party.' Ever since then, the skeleton’s been coming everywhere with us."
Abigail now shares Theo and the skeleton's adventures on her social media pages, and loves the positive response they have had. She said of her Instagram page:
"2020 has been probably one of the craziest years in a while and I know it has brought a lot of people a lot of turmoil and a lot of hardship.
"My hope is that this can just spread some happiness. Even if it makes someone’s day for a couple of minutes, that makes me so happy."
And, of course, Theo has named his new best friend: Benny (a reference to the skeleton character in Halloweentown).

Benny and Theo now go everywhere together - including the beach, the park, the local reservoir, and the grocery store. Benny even joins the family for dinner.

"It’s funny to see him put food in Benny’s mouth and it just drops down through his ribs," Abigail said. "Theo thinks it’s so funny."
And now, Benny and Theo have been joined by a new companion - a skeleton dog:
