An emotional video has gone viral on social media this week, showing a young boy bursting into floods of tears after hearing his dead grandfather's voice again.
But the twist in this tale is where the voice came from. Namely, a custom-made teddy bear that the little kid's mother had made especially for him.
Per a recent report by Fox News, Ohio resident Jessica Turpin took to Twitter to write that her six-year-old son, Ryan, was left devastated by the death of his grandfather Bubba Lou back in May.
This is the tear-jerking moment where young Ryan heard his grandfather's voice again:Young Ryan is currently undergoing treatment for leukemia after being diagnosed in 2018 and was left devastated after losing his Bubba Lou due to complications caused by COVID-19 back in May.
Thinking of a way to bring back happy memories of Ryan's cherished grandfather, Jessica made him a custom Build-A-Bear, using old voicemails from Ryan’s grandfather to make it 'speak' to him.
Jessica also decorated the bear with clothes similar to those Bubba Lou wore when taking Ryan to sports games.
She wrote on the Build-A-Bear certificate that the bear was named 'Bubba Lou Bear', and born on the day Ryan’s grandfather died.
Jessica later shared a video of the emotional moment she first gave her son the bear on Twitter, writing:
"My 6yr old son is fighting leukemia&he just lost his grandpa to COVID19. I made him a custom bear with grandpa’s voice. He cried as soon as he saw it. Such an awesome gift I gave my son. It brings him much comfort. #coronavirus [sic]"
And the heartwarming moment certainly had Twitter-users grabbing for the tissues, as they shared their reactions to the sweet video.
One Twitter user by the name of Deborah wrote: "If this doesn’t make you want to wear a mask, you have no heart. My prayers to your family."

A second social media user tweeted: "What an adorable little boy. I’m praying for his healing."

And a third wrote:
"Ryan is such a sweet loving person. Breaks my heart to see him cry for his grandpa. I’m a Grammie to seven and love them dearly. Ryan has a very smart, sweet & loving momma, too. [sic]"

It's clear that Bubba Lou must have been an incredible person in young Ryan's life, and it seems like his grandson will never forget him.
