A 24-year-old woman who made the decision to stop shaving her legs last year has since received a barrage of abuse from trolls online.
Ana Calatayud Perez-Manglano, a fine arts student, made the decision to stop shaving in November of 2018 simply because she no longer felt the need to get rid of her body hair.
Ana, being the open sort of person that she is, had absolutely no qualms about sharing a now-viral video showcasing her legs with her long, thick dark hairs very much intact:The 24-year-old student from Valencia, Spain certainly wasn't expecting the innocent video to be confronted with any sort of backlash from viewers.
"I was just lazy and didn’t want to shave – I don’t have any complex, I don’t really care what people say," Ana explained. "I am not ashamed of having hairy legs – women are like this, hairy, and we choose to shave or not if we don’t want to."
"It has nothing to do with feminism or trying to make a point – I just didn’t want to."

As of this writing, the video has accumulated over 9,000 shares, and unfortunately, the content attracted a lot of unwarranted negativity.
Ana told Caters News, that she has received dozens of comments from trolls telling her "you haven’t had sex in a long time" or "I would break up with my girlfriend if she looked like this."
Ana also added that the trolls have called her "horrible and disgusting" while one said, "if you don’t want to have sex, just say it."

"I am single right now, but I have never had a problem with my ex-boyfriends," she said. "No man has ever made me shave my legs because they thought I was dirty or gross."
"The worst comment I’ve received was from someone who told me I suffered from depression and I had low self-esteem because I stopped shaving," she shared. "I can’t believe I was diagnosed by a random person on the internet – it’s unbelievable.
"I told him I suppose it would be the same for him and his beard. I have to say there were a lot of people who messaged me to say 'thank you' or just to support me and that’s what I am going to keep from all this."
