A woman has taken to social media to share the story of how she reacted after being told by a date how not to dress.
According to the Mirror, a TikTok user by the name of Megan Elizabeth matched on the dating app Tinder with a young guy called Trevor, and the pair arranged to meet for a date at the bakery chain Panera.
However, Elizabeth claims that Trevor attempted to dictate her sense of style, telling her not to "show up looking like a goth witch or something," before adding "I don't like that."
So... what did Megan do?However, Elizabeth elected to show her date that she didn't appreciate him making demands of her fashion sense, and elected to dress as goth as possible.
Donning a black wardrobe, complete with dark lipstick and smoky eye shadow, Elizabeth stated: "I decided to get ready and do the exact opposite of what he requested because I do what I want."
In a later follow-up video posted while at the rendezvous point, Elizabeth testified that she had met Trevor, who has reacted poorly to her outfit and walked out on her as a result - leaving her to eat her bagel alone.
Elizabeth's post clearly resonated with other TikTok users who were impressed by her indomitable attitude.
Her original video has since racked up more than 1 million views, 316,000 likes, 4,300 shares, and a further 2,400 comments as of the time of writing.

For instance, one person stated: "First of all YOU'RE GORGEOUS. Second tell him you've only got an hour because the circle is meeting tonight. [sic]"

A second chimed in "She absolutely understood the assignment."

Then this person stated: "Please look like a supermodel for our VERY CLASSY PANERA DATE, all right?"

This commenter wrote: "Don't even say anything to him, just go to your own booth. He'll figure it out."

Another person stated: "I had a guy tell me once what to wear on a date and I never showed up. I completely ghosted him. Don't tell me what to wear. I don't like that."

Finally, this commenter stated: "Plot twist... he knew she'd not like that and do what she wants and she showed up like his dream girl."
