Eyebrow-raising identical twins, Anna and Lucy DeCinque, have done absolutely everything together their entire lives and shared far more than just their clothes.
The inseparable sisters shower and use the toilet at the same time, which could have been an obstacle when it comes to dating, as it is hard to get more intimate than that. However, thankfully, or alarmingly, they have found a man who loves them equally.
The DeCinque sisters are so in sync that they claim to feel no jealousy at all when it is the other sister’s turn to receive affection. The pair even remain in the same bed when the other sister and their shared boyfriend are being intimate, which understandably has been the source of a lot of questions and backlash.
Anna and Lucy have answered this question, often in sync, many times in the past, as their intensely close relationship has sparked a morbid curiosity in their sex life.
In a recent appearance on the chat show Hughesy, We Have a Problem, the sisters were quizzed over whether they share a bed while the other is having sex, and they responded, at the same time: "Yes, and that's it, that's all we're saying, we're never apart."
The pair’s partner of ten years, Ben, is fascinatingly a twin himself, but unlike his polygamist twin, his brother only has one partner.
While the DeCinques claim to feel no envy over the other sister spending their time with their shared fiancé, Ben has a well-thought-out system to keep them both happy.
Explaining how this works, the twins said, "There's no jealousy in the relationship.
"If Ben will kiss Anna, he'll kiss Lucy." Also, the sisters seem to be more concerned about not missing out on time with each other, rather than their fiancé.
The twins have gone to ludicrous lengths to ensure that they remain identical in every way. They measure out their food and drink, and even have matching fillers and cosmetic surgeries to keep their faces looking the exact same.
The next step, which could prove a bit of a challenge, is figuring out how to become “pregnant at the same time” so that they can experience motherhood together and raise their children like siblings.
Although they have said they are open to IVF for a higher chance of it being possible, the twins have also been exploring the natural way. “There’s a lot of pressure on Ben,” the pair admitted.
Another huge hurdle they are having to face is getting legally married, as polygamy has been outlawed in Australia since 1961.
In an episode of the TLC reality show Extreme Sisters, Anna and Lucy said: “We would like to marry him one day, but the law in Australia says we can’t, so what do we do?”
“If we can change the law and the government, we’d love to marry Ben.
“I mean, love is love; we’re all adults—we should marry the same man.”
