Anyone who has ever scrolled through a designer website will know that some of the options available are a little out-there, to say the least.

I personally never found myself on designer websites until lockdown boredom forced me onto them, and I was left horrified by the prices.

However, none of the bags I stumbled upon came close to this one.

Manufactured by Italian fashion house Bottega Veneta, this designer bag, which looks exactly like a dog poop bag, will set you back a staggering $2,120 (£1,650).

But hey! I guess it's worth it if you want your four-legged friend to poop in style and it is reusable...

The bag is described by the designer as "soft sack shape with handle that looks casually knotted and slips around the wrist".

Its resemblance to a dog poop bag was first noted by 27-year-old Andrea Smith from East London.

In an interview with The Sun, she said: "I was browsing online joking about the cost of designer bags - and nearly spat out my tea when I saw this one that was pricey and ridiculous.

"I am a dog owner myself so spend a lot of time down the dog park. When I saw the model with Bottega Veneta bag on her hand I laughed out loud.

"It reminded me of my friend casually knotting the extra-large poop bags she needs to buy for her giant Great Pyrenees Barry as she heads to the bin."

Needless to say, people on social media could only agree with the poo bag comparisons.

One Twitter user wrote: "Wow - it DOES look like a poo bag!!"

Meanwhile, a second joked: "Yes, hello. I have £2000 and I would like to look like a burglar. Right this way!"

And the designer poo bag even got a mocking on British TV show Loose Women.

However, if you happen to be a fan of the dog poop bag look and this designer bag is out of your price range, fear not. Pets at Home is selling a 200 pack of biodegradable poo bags for $1.94 (£1.50).
