It's no secret that moms can be savage. While there's no doubt that they love their kids with their whole heart, if they need to be brought down a peg or two, they'll be the first people to do it - no questions asked. However, sometimes a mom's savage nature can lead to her making a faux pas so bad she ends up going viral on Reddit.
Now, before we get into it, it's worth noting that most of the time, when a mom's inner savage makes an appearance, there's hilarious consequences, it's only occasionally that it leaves kids in tears!
So here are the most savage moms (good and bad) to ever go viral the internet..
[post_page_title]The World's Worst Birthday Party[/post_page_title]
When you're a kid, being invited to a birthday party is a real highlight. I mean, there are very few occasions on which you have free rein to eat what feels like unlimited junk food, where you can totally let loose and be as loud and energetic as you want, and where you can leave an already fantastic day with a treat-filled party bag.
These were the kind of parties I remember attending as a kid anyway. But it turns out, that not every children's birthday party is as ideal.
One mother, in fact, is opening up about one of the cruelest birthday parties in the history of children's birthday parties.
The party took place at a Build-a-Bear Workshop - every kid's dream, right? It's a chance for children to put all that creativity to good use, and end up with their own self-customized stuffed toy.
The kids and the adults headed to the mall, ate pizza from the food court before going to Build-a-Bear.

[post_page_title]There Was No Limit On The Design Of The Bears[/post_page_title]
When they were done eating, the kids went to work on crafting their very own stuffed bear - they were told to design the toy exactly how they wanted.
According to the mother who posted the story on Reddit, they each chipped in $30, as they knew how expensive it can be at Build-a-Bear.
She also warned her daughter against going over the top with her bear, telling her to keep it simple by dressing the bear in a shirt without a load of accessories.
The children were thrilled to be able to design what they assumed would be their own bears. After everything was paid for, however, things got a little, erm, harsh.
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]The Kids' Reaction[/post_page_title]
They left the store which is when the mother told the young attendees that they had to hand over the bear - that they had created with their own two hands - to the birthday girl.
And it gets even more awkward - there was still the second half of the party to attend at the stingy family's house.
Understandably, people were quick to sympathize with the shocked mother on Reddit, writing that what the parents did to such young children was completely nonsensical and cruel.
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]Never Attend This Kid's Parties Again[/post_page_title]
Needless to say, users of the social networking site agreed that the parent who made the original post was completely right to have assumed that the children would be allowed to keep the bears they made.
They then jokingly said that if this was what the child's parents were letting her do at all parties they organised, they'd likely all be as unpleasant, regardless of whether they were held at Build-a-Bear or an amusement park.
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]The Girl's Parents Need To Brush Up On Their Social Skills[/post_page_title]
Some users of Reddit were so shocked by the post that one of the most upvoted comments was a person remarking that the parents clearly had no idea what normal social customs at children's birthday parties were.
Now, you might think that this tale of birthday party cruelty ends here, but it doesn't. Taking on board this advice, the original poster decided to confront the mother of the child...
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]The Confrontation[/post_page_title]
Informing someone who invited your child to a party that it upset them was never going to be an easy task, and while the mom was inevitably offended, the woman did get an explanation about why she kept the toys.
Okay, so while Karen's logic sort of makes sense, in a way, the fact that none of the children were informed beforehand that they'd have to hand over the toys (or their parents) still makes it awful.
Then there's the fact that kids really shouldn't be expected to make something they might want then hand it over.
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]The Mom States The Obvious[/post_page_title]
The mom explained that she assumed that the children would be allowed to keep the bears, which is why she put money towards the cost, assuming that she was being polite by not putting the birthday girl's parents out of pocket.
Hilariously, the mom then informed her that she simply couldn't afford a bear for each of the children - despite being more than happy to buy that many of them for her daughter!
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]She's Offended[/post_page_title]
The mom then explained that the children were upset that they had to give away the toys and wondered why this woman's daughter needed quite so many for herself.
What do you think? Was this mom right, in a way? Or did she needlessly upset her daughter's friends and likely sow the seeds for further problems down the line? When I was a kid, I certainly wouldn't forget a party like that!
However, as I've mentioned, this woman is far from the only savage mom out there...

[post_page_title]The Mom's Savage Text[/post_page_title]
Because we grow up with our parents attending to almost our every need, once we're a little older, parents can use this as an excuse to have us attend to them for once. Case in point...
If that isn't a genius move, I don't know what is. One thing's for sure, this woman's son will think twice before he leaves his phone in the kitchen again.
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]The Mom Who Saw The Bright Side[/post_page_title]
Sometimes moms have the best interpretations of horrible situations. It's why their presence is so important even after we've left the next. This is probably the best example of a good-humored mom you'll ever see.
Instead of lamenting the fact that her son was being subject to racist abuse on Twitter, she turned a horrible situation into a good one by making a typical mom joke about how she wishes her son lived closer to home.
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]Personal Space[/post_page_title]
Sometimes we want space from our moms. As much as they love us, their presence can be overbearing. Especially if we're still living in the family home as adults. But this mom made a fair point when her daughter complained.
Moms carry their babies in their wombs for nine months. If they get up in their personal space, there's nothing they can complain about (within reason, of course).
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]The Mom Who Did It All Herself[/post_page_title]
It's no secret that moms can be left to do all of the cooking by their kids. So when it was time to take a picture of this delicious meal, this mom objected to anyone else being in the shot. Fair play.
I imagine any moms reading this will relate. Seriously though, food that you cook yourself almost always tastes better - and your mom will likely pay you back for helping with more food down the line, so help out!
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]The Joke That Backfired[/post_page_title]
Since moms are typically the people who keep family homes in order, they are rarely amused when you mess their decor up. So when this daughter tried to pull a prank, she'd no idea it would backfire so badly...
That must have hurt... But I have to admit, dogs almost always look better in pictures than humans, and when said humans are acting up in your eyes, this is a pretty understandable response.
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]Harsh - So Very Harsh[/post_page_title]
As we grow older, it can be hard to believe that some parents spoil their kids as much as they do. I experienced something similar to this person when I saw a girl pick up hundreds of dollars worth of cosmetics and her mom paid for it like it was nothing...
What I love about this post is how much it backfired for the daughter. Maybe some kids are just that amazing that their parents can't help but spend all of their cash on them! Better get to work being a better child then...
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]This "Care" Package[/post_page_title]
A lot of parents send their kids care packages when they eventually fly the nest. After all, when you're new to independent adulthood, you can get things wrong (I dyed all my socks blue - classic).
But this mom, by the looks of it, was glad to get rid of her little angel and instead of sending thema box of carefully thought out supplies, she made a hilarious point by sending them all the trash they were meant to take out.
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]Savage[/post_page_title]
One of my biggest fears about eventually becoming a parent is that I'll hate my kids. And if this series of texts is anything to by, this is something which this mom is experiencing...
Savage. There is no other way to describe it. Regardless, you have to wonder what exactly this girl was going through to text something so ridiculous! Maybe she'd just had one too many...
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]Good Point[/post_page_title]
One of the most contentious issues in modern society is the anti-vax movement. Despite having no scientific evidence to back it up and once extinct diseases now making a comeback, some parents are convinced it's a good idea.
You have to hand it to this woman for creativity with this sign. Let's just hope that the anti vax movement like a lot of other stupid ideas is consigned to the history books where it belongs.

[post_page_title]Brought Straight Back Down To Earth[/post_page_title]
Self-confidence is great, but no one likes cocky people. Sometimes, no matter what you've got going for you, it's a good idea to remember to stay humble. And if you ever need someone to help you do that, your mom will more than likely be willing to help...
If you think you've got good genes, there are two people you can thank for that. And I'm not going to lie, I have to agree with this girl's mom, she is prettier. #SorryNotSorry.
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]Fair[/post_page_title]
Sometimes, the working day can feel impossible to get through without a little extra, um, help. Spend any time in a major city and I can almost guarantee you'll see a pack of suits out hunting for a lunchtime pint...
Fair play to this mom for roasting her kid by keeping it real. Parents can do what they like in work, they just have to please their managers - as for their kids? Well, that's a different story entirely.
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]Ouch[/post_page_title]
When you start dating someone new, one of the most nerve-wracking milestones can be introducing them to your parents for the first time. Clearly, this mom did not appreciate her kid's humor... or their girlfriend.
Lesson learned: never make rat jokes to your mom, or you could end up getting burned this badly! In fact, just to be safe, don't make any jokes about any less than appealing animals. Point blank.
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]Awesome[/post_page_title]
If you annoy your parents enough, as we've already seen on this list, sometimes they will think that their life would be better if they'd never reproduced. This mom, for example...
Sometimes the truth just slips out! Here's hoping she was only half serious. No one wants to go missing and not have their family head up the search party...
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]The Harambe Question[/post_page_title]
Few things have outraged modern society more than the untimely death of Harambe. In case your memory needs refreshing, the incident happened in 2016 when a child fell into a gorilla pen and the poor gorilla was shot...
If this mom had been involved at the time, Harambe would still be with us today. RIP big guy. Gone but not forgotten. You deserved better.
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]Why Are You So Obsessed With Me?[/post_page_title]
When it comes to double, nay, multiple texting, there are some people we have no shame around. Namely, our parents and best friends. And while they might love us, they do not love having their phone go off incessantly...
Props to this mom for her brilliant Mean Girls reply. Maybe her kid will think twice before sending multiple texts again. Or not.
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]This Mom Is A Ruthless Savage[/post_page_title]
The great thing about being a pet parent is that they can never give you grief like a human can - even if they keep you up at night and poop on the carpet.
Clearly, this mom knows who her real baby is. Sorry, Katie. You'll just need to invest in a cat costume and work on purring to earn this much affection from your mom.
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]When Your Mom Calls You A Clown[/post_page_title]
Like I've said, life is better when you're humble. It means you can enjoy your wins even more, and if things don't go quite your way, well, at least your expectations weren't astronomically high to begin with.
Sometimes, you just need daily reminders from your mom that no matter what you do or achieve in life, you'll still be the clown who invaded her designer makeup bag in preschool.
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]Your Mom Will Always Have Something To Say About Your Fashion Choices[/post_page_title]
Moms can't help themselves when they see their baby wearing something a little risque. I moved out of my parents' house years ago, but when my mom saw a little bit too much cleavage in an Instagram picture, she told me exactly what she thought...
And clearly, I'm far from the only person to have been told off by a parent on the photosharing app. Clearly, moms just don't want to admit that their babies are all grown up!
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]Deactivating[/post_page_title]
On the subject of parents stalking you on social media, it's not just the pictures of you that they will have something to say about, they'll be more than happy to tell you what you think of what you're writing too.
Yeah, I think I'd deactivate my Twitter if my Mom sent me a text this savage too. It's why I'm glad that my Twitter account is under a name that she'll never guess (at least, I hope she'll never guess it!).
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]When Your Mom Mocks Your Dating Life[/post_page_title]
I'm at the age now where my Mom's starting to question why I've never found myself in a lasting relationship. She went as far as suggesting I go to a matchmaker psychic... But not quite as far as this savage Snapchat mom...
Ouch. That's gotta hurt. I dread to think what this mom will Snapchat when her kid finally finds love. Probably pictures showing just how much she disapproves of their chosen partner. You can't win.
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]Hygiene[/post_page_title]
As you've probably gathered, sometimes kids ask their moms some pretty innocuous question and get some seriously savage replies. Here's another LOL-worthy example of this phenomenon.
It doesn't matter whether it's what you're wearing, or just your freakin' personal hygiene, savage moms will take a dig at anything - and providing we're not in a bad mood when it happens, we wouldn't have it any other way.
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]The Literal Mom[/post_page_title]
When you're a grownup and get your mom to do some shopping for you, you can't be picky, but you can't be too not fussed either. Like this guy who said he wouldn't be fussed if he got Hannah Montana facewash.
To be fair to his mom, if I had a son and he said this to me, I'd have done exactly the same thing. He had no right to be angry. His mom's a comedic genius!
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]Ouch[/post_page_title]
I'm not sure what's worse, being single and getting a Snapchat of an empty lecture theatre from your mom, or a text like this one...
Let's just hope she bought the book for her son. Although, given that it's got a crayon front, I'm not sure how reliable the advice inside would be.
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]There Were No Other Options[/post_page_title]
Even when you're lucky enough to get a public compliment out of your mom, chances are she won't take your opinion into consideration when it comes to the picture she uses.
The beautiful thing about this screenshot is that the good people of Facebook were entirely on the mom's side. Sometimes you gotta accept the will of the people!
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]Some Moms Won't Even Let Others Compliment Their Kids[/post_page_title]
When you're a baby, moms love nothing more than people complimenting your looks. But as soon as you're older and self-aware, some savage moms won't even accept the compliments you receive from other people.
Let's just hope that this savage mom is a little / was a little kinder on her kid's wedding day. Till then, she's clearly treating them mean to keep them keen!
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]This Replacement Phone[/post_page_title]
One of the hardest lessons that children learn is that they have total responsibility for their belongings. If they lose something, it's on them. Their parents don't have an unlimited supply of money, after all.
This hilarious picture was captioned: "My sister lost her phone at a bar. This is what my Mom sent her when she asked for a replacement." #Savage
