With lockdown keeping more and more of us inside, many of us are finding joy in the simpler forms of entertainment - in particular; jigsaw puzzles.
The very first commercially available jigsaw puzzle was launched all the way back in 1760 by London-based engraver John Spilsbury. But in the history of the hobby, there has never been a more tortuous, frustrating, and downright cruel puzzle than the one launched by yelldesign.
Aptly named, The Accident, this unique jigsaw puzzle not only features completely clear pieces (removing the aid of piecing together an image from the box), but the individual pieces are far from the recognizable standard shapes you expect from the jigsaw.
When completed (if it is ever completed), it resembled a pane of shattered glass.

Describing their "hyper-challenging" puzzle on their official website, yelldesign writes: "This is truly a one-of-a-kind puzzle. Each line, angle, and connection was designed by hand, resulting in 215 unique and beautiful clear pieces."

The completed puzzle measures 58.5cm x 55.5cm, and is described for being "perfect for puzzlers that master shapes and patterns, this one starts easy and gets... progressively harder."
This challenging puzzle is available to order online from yelldesign's website for $64.10 (£51.75), which may sound like a lot, but I guarantee you will get hours - nay, DAYS - of joy (or hate) out of it.
The company also has two other unique and challenging jigsaw puzzle designs available. For a small victory, you can overcome The Virus (jigsaw).

The description reads: "Can you contain the virus? Master this beautiful clear 91 pc jigsaw puzzle. Made from 3mm clear cast acrylic, with a fluoro virus centerpiece! Finished puzzle is 295mm x 295mm."

Which, as the description states, is a lot more challenging than it looks: "This puzzle has been described as 'diabolical'. A truly challenging, beautiful clear jigsaw puzzle. Made from 3mm clear cast acrylic, this puzzle is 160 pcs with a fluoro fish! Finished puzzle is 454mm x 280mm. It looks pretty simple, but will still take a good weekend and a bit for hard-core puzzlers."
