Unless you've been living under a rock in recent weeks, you'll know that FaceApp has taken social media by storm. But in the unlikely event that you're unfamiliar with it, let me explain: it's an app which allows users to upload photographs of themselves (or anyone else) and transform them into their elderly selves using its "old" filter.
And, as you're about to learn, these transformations are more than a little convincing. So much so that they've been done on famous faces too, and we've compiled a list of the best to give you an idea of what the who's who? of Hollywood will look like once their smooth skin has wrinkled and their hairlines receeded and greyed!
[post_page_title]Timothée Chalamet[/post_page_title]
To put how good FaceApp's older filter is into context, as long as someone isn't an actual child, it can effectively make them look old - even if they're a relatively fresh-faced 23-year-old like Timothée Chalamet.
This is so scarily real looking that it's hard not to believe someone didn't jump in a time machine and get a picture of the actor in 2069. But hey! For an old dude, he's still got a pretty rockin' hairstyle.
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]Ariana Grande[/post_page_title]
Another very famous fresh face that we can't get enough of these days is, of course, Ariana Grande - a woman who's proved that she's stronger than her years by continuing to slay after the tragic terrorist attack at her Manchester concert and the untimely death of her ex-boyfriend, Mac Miller.
Here is in the future, hopefully having said 'Thank U Next' for the very last time decades ago. My only critique of this picture is the tightness of her ponytail. If you pulled back the hair of a woman who looked that age so tight, it would probably snap!
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]Billie Eilish[/post_page_title]
So far, the youngest person we've encountered on this list is a 23-year-old, now, brace yourselves - and your eyes - to see how dramatically FaceApp's old feature transforms someone who is just 17 years old!
Okay, so while she doesn't look like someone in their 70s, it's safe to say that regardless of how old the person using the FaceApp filter is, it will almost certainly make them look like they are at least in their 50s.
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]Taylor Swift[/post_page_title]
She's the woman no man wants to become an ex-boyfriend of - otherwise, they'll inevitably become a chart-topping hit and feel awkward about their failed relationship wherever they go. It is, of course, Taylor Swift.
Now, I don't know about you, but she's pretty much unrecognizable now that FaceApp's worked its filtering magic. However, considering she's one of the older stars we've had so far on this list, she only looks like she's in her late 40s.
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]Justin Bieber[/post_page_title]
As you're about to learn, some celebs emerge from the FaceApp old filer relatively unscathed. Others? Well, once you've seen their transformations, you'll probably struggle to look at them the same way again.
As hard as it is to believe, that picture is of Justin Bieber. One thing's for sure - the Biebz does not suit a mustache or a classic old man combover for that matter. He looks like he's a politician!
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]James Charles[/post_page_title]
Age changes a lot of people for the worst. It's all part of being human and we've come to accept that even with all the plastic surgery in the world, we can't avoid wrinkles forever, but it doesn't mean we can't still be glam!
Case in point, James Charles. His makeup and eyebrows are still on fleek even though his skin is far from being as smooth as his current 20-year-old self's. This really does put into context how badly the app aged Bieber.
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]Kim Kardashian[/post_page_title]
The Kardashian-Jenner clan are arguably America's most plastic family. Their penchant for plastic surgery is apparent for all to see, and it's a pretty safe bet that she will do everything she can to fight the aging process...
With the FaceApp, she looks like a slightly younger version of Kris Jenner. And let's face it, there's no way her breasts will droop this much. Not with her media empire. She'll simply pay to have them forever perky.
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]Will Smith[/post_page_title]
When the FaceApp feature is used on an older celebrity, the difference is minimal, and in many cases, actually bodes well for their future. Will Smith, who is 50 years old, is a great example of this.
Even with the addition of the filer, he doesn't look *that* old. In fact, I'm pretty sure if a poll was conducted about this picture, the majority of people would say he doesn't look a day over 60 - if that.
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]Shawn Mendes[/post_page_title]
Sometimes, very occasionally, people still looking as smoking in their old age as they did in their younger years, and if you want to see a great example of a future silver fox, look no further than Shawn Mendes.
He might be a fresh-faced 20-year-old right now, but if this picture is anything to go by, he's going to be as much of a mom's wet dream as George Clooney is. Aging gracefully is a lot easier when you're this handsome.
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]Camila Cabello[/post_page_title]
Sometimes when a person reaches a certain age, they need to accept that having dark hair just isn't an option any longer. However, in a few instances, older women can pull off extremely youthful hair colors.
Clearly, one of them is Camila Cabello. Her updo here looks totally appropriate for a woman in say, her 50s or 60s. The outfit she's wearing is also a great example of age appropriate glamourousness.
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]Nicki Minaj[/post_page_title]
As you're about to learn, even if a celebrity hasn't currently gone under the knife, the FaceApp's age feature can make it look like that's the case. So, Nicki, if you're reading, get botox at your peril.
This picture of an elderly Nicki Minaj is actually painful to look at. Her face looks almost as plastic as Micheal Jackson's and that really is saying something. Seriously, this is why it's better to grow old gracefully.
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]Chrissy Teigen[/post_page_title]
One of the interesting things about the world we are living in is that people are living for longer, and as a result, attitudes towards the older generation are rapidly changing - with many working decades beyond previous retirement ages.
So it only stands to reason that the elderly population, instead of letting themselves go as many have been encouraged to do in the not so distant past, will be just as glamorous and vibrant looking as the younger generation (with the addition of a few wrinkles).
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]John Legend[/post_page_title]
Some old people are so cute looking that you just want to pinch their cheeks like you would do with a baby, and if the FaceApp is as accurate as it appears to be, John Legend is going to be one heck of a cutie in 20 years time.
And let's face it, we'd all rather look like absolute curies than like John Cleese (sorry Biebz - your youth might have been kind to you, but it looks like your twilight years are going to be more than a little cruel).
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]Cardi B[/post_page_title]
After recently hitting the headlines for taking of her weave and throwing it into her audience, you can bet your bottom dollar that Cardi's hair will be as glamorous as ever for the rest of her life.
So, realistically, all that's going to change with time is the number of wrinkles on the rapper's face. But if this picture is anything to go by, she's going to look like a pretty badass older woman too.
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]Lil Nas X[/post_page_title]
When a celebrity develops a distinctive style, they tend to continue it throughout their lives. Take Elton John, for example, he's had a penchant for glamorous glasses and extravagant suits for decades.
So, it really only stands to reason that Lil Nas X will have his signature look as an older man. And while there's no doubt he suits it now, it's safe to say that it's a style that can be rocked by older gentlemen too.
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]Kylie Jenner[/post_page_title]
She was recently declared the world's youngest self-made billionaire thanks to her cosmetics empire, and while questions have been raised about the self-made part of this, it's clear that Kylie Jenner is rich - and getting richer by the day.
So, just like her mom Kris, she will almost inevitably be a very glamorous old woman. Sure, people's lips naturally get thinner as they age, but with her lip kits and filler surgeon on speed dial, this won't be happening to Kylie!
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]Rhinana[/post_page_title]
Another person who, if the FaceApp old filter is anything to go by, will make a seriously smokin' old person is Rhianna. Bit this best the question: will chains and whips still excite her once she's had a hip replacement?
If Rhianna can learn a lesson from Madonna: it's this, embrace your wrinkles. Don't go too far with botox and you'll look as smoking as ever - proving that women in their 50s and 60s can be just as sexy as those in their 20s.
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]Katy Perry[/post_page_title]
Ever since she rose to worldwide fame in the mid-noughties, Katy Perry has been famed for her fashion sense. And we got a brief glimpse of what she'd look like as an older woman in the video for 'The One that Got Away'...
However, as I'm sure you'll agree, if you've seen the video, this is a much better representation. The only thing slightly daunting about it is the fact that she looks a little like Cruella De Vil. Lock up your puppies!
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]Brendon Urie[/post_page_title]
We've known him since he was writing sins and not tragedies as a teen, and now he's given us all high, high hopes for the rest of our lives. While it's not known what he will be giving us this far down the line, I think it's safe to say he's another silver fox!
Doesn't he look good? I mean, not George Clooney good, but he's not old Justin Bieber bad either. And I reckon he could still rock a top hat even when he's in his 60s. Us former emo kids will be here for you, forever, Brendan!
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]Chris Evans[/post_page_title]
If there wasn't a beard in this picture, I'd quite happily say that Chris Evans is a bonafide silver fox. Seriously, if your hair is going gray, you'll do yourself so many favors if you just let nature take its course.
However, just because your hair might have greyed, it doesn't mean that you can't still look as sharp as ever. It's sometimes said that clothes maketh the man, and it clearly does for an older Chris Evans.
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]Tom Holland[/post_page_title]
Another cute old man alert! I repeat: another cute old man alert! While being a cute older person isn't as good as being a sexy one, you can't win in the looks department your entire life - and it's better to be cute than cranky looking!
Tom Holland's pretty cute as a 23-year-old, and it looks like this is something he's going to be all through his life. But hey! Maybe if he gets ripped, he can have a sexy middle-aged phase!
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]Drake[/post_page_title]
This one will probably come as no surprise to people reading this article, but Drake is a total silver fox. Obviously. He looks so good as an older man that he'll probably be getting hired for modeling jobs left, right and center.
Clearly, Drake fans have a lot to look forward to in the immediate and the distant future. I wonder what kind of music he'll be making then? I guess we'll just have to wait and see!
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]Millie Bobbie Brown[/post_page_title]
When someone is a child star, it can be almost impossible to think of them as a grownup. Just look at Macaulay Culkin. He's been haunted by his role as trickster Kevin McCallister for decades.
But if Millie Bobby Brown isn't swallowed up by the child star trap, it looks like she's goingt to be a pretty sick and fashionable middle aged woman. That smile though! No wonder Stranger Things is so popular.
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]Cole Sprouse[/post_page_title]
From Disney to dapper older gentlemen. Yeah, as much as it will make every millennial feel old, one day, the original set of Disney Channel stars will be middle-aged - and likely haunted by people still bringing up the roles that made them famous!
This older version of Cole Sprouse is still pretty handsome. And it's nice to see that he still has a full head of hair. A former Disney star that's bald, which will inevitably happen, isn't something the world is ready for.
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]Keanu Reeves[/post_page_title]
He's arguably the most badass man on the planet right now thanks to his starring role as John Wick, and if FaceApp's age prediction gets it right, he's going to be a pretty badass looking dude down the line too.
Sure, his beard might have greyed a little, his hairline reeded, but it's more than likely that Keeves will still be one of Hollywood's most beloved and humble stars in 2029. Here's to Keanu's continued reign of awesome!
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]Demi Lovato[/post_page_title]
Famed for not only her talent but her troubles, Demi Lovato's life so far has been as up and down as a rollercoaster, and while it's often said that what you do in your youth will affect your looks down the line, she still looks great!
Sobriety is a good look on you, Demi! She's clearly got a face that, providing FaceApp isn't massively duping us all, will age rather well - providing she heeds the mistakes of those who've gone before her and doesn't go to town on the botox!
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]JoJo Siwa[/post_page_title]
In much the same way as I'm excited to see the kind of outfits that Lady Gaga will rock later in life, I'm also excited to see what JoJo Siwa will wear. She's going to be the most glamorous middle-aged woman pop has ever seen!
Although, given that she's only 16 years old, if she's anythig like Miley Cyrus, her style is going to go through more than a few changes as she grows up! There is, after all, a world of a difference between 2013 Miley and 2019 Miley.
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]Barack Obama[/post_page_title]
His place in the history books was cemented when he became the first black president of the US in 2008. Since then, Obama has retired from politics but still kept a relatively high public profile.
One of the things that he has been doing is giving speeches a plenty, and this will likely increase in the runup to the 2020 celection when a democratic candidate is chosen, and, if we are honest, continue for the rest of Obama's life.
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]Beyoncé[/post_page_title]
She's widely regarded as one of the most beautiful women in the world, and that's never going to change even as she ages. But that doesn't mean we are any less curious about what Beyoncé will look like as an older woman!
As gorgeous as ever! Personally, I think she bears a slight resemblance to Michelle Obama. And given the fact that she's known for keeping it real, I fully expect Queen B to have minimal, if any, plastic surgery.
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]Britney Spears[/post_page_title]
Britney's had her fair share of struggles in life, and it looks like even FaceApp could sense them. But hey! At least she has hair as an older woman and looks happy. She's overcome a lot of demons and we all just want to see her living her best life.
Although, a word to the wise Britney, if you do end up aging like that, you might want to cover up a little. Older women can be sexy sure, but saggy bits don't go down well on social media - something Madonna has learned the hard way.
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson[/post_page_title]
When you're famed for your impressive size and physique, it only stands to reason that even as an older person, you'll still look like a force to be reckoned with, and nowhere is that more apparent than the Rock's transformation.
His neck might have sunk a little, his muscles not as full as they used to be, but the Rock still doesn't look like a man anyone with two brain cells to rub together would mess with. Thankfully, he also looks as friendly as ever too!
[[pagebreak]]
[post_page_title]Harry Styles[/post_page_title]
I don't know why, but the X Factor prodigy has always made me think of the Rolling Stones, and just like the 'Paint it Black' hitmakers, it looks like he's going to be a pretty badass yet stylish older man.
The only thing I'll add is that, fortunately, or unfortunately depending on your point of view, Harry does look a little more feminine because of the filter. To be honest, it's the earing. He's got the air of a glamorous grandma about him!
