A pregnant mother has claimed that she was kicked off an EasyJet flight after asking for help finding space in the overhead compartment.
Siobhan Foster, who was seven months pregnant at the time, was traveling from Belfast to Ibiza with her husband James, and their daughter Florence on August 19.
In a damning Facebook post, Foster alleged that she and her entire family were thrown off the crowded flight after a "grumpy" air hostess allegedly "singled her out" when she asked about overhead lockers.
"I will NEVER fly with EasyJet again, I understand why people call them sleezy jet!" the mom, who was heading to her brother’s wedding on the Mediterranean island, ranted.
Read her Facebook post below:The heavily pregnant woman claimed that the unnamed flight attendant told her to "find somewhere yourself" after she asked for help regarding the lockers. She also wrote that the EasyJet employee allegedly said that she was being "abusive" and added that it was "not [their] job to help [her]."
Once another unidentified flight attendant supported her coworker, Foster contended that crewmembers on other airlines have always assisted her.
"Writing this, I understand it would make you think was I being abusive, but I honestly wasn’t and the whole plane can vouch for me," she penned. "People were actually putting this on [Facebook] about how bad I was treated."
When the mom finally found a place to store her luggage, she was then allegedly confronted by two additional staff members who echoed their colleague's words and accused Siobhan of being "aggressive".
"I decided to ignore her and she started raising her voice saying 'Look at me!' First of all, I'm not a child to be spoken to like that, and I was ignoring her as I was so upset at the way I was being treated," she recalled.
Moments later, she and her family were kicked off the flight by the "grumpy" airline staffers. When Foster’s mom and brother reportedly asked why they were being removed from the flight, they were told it was because of Foster's behavior.
"To say I was in shock was an understatement in no way shape or form was I aggressive, the whole plane could see how she was being towards me," Foster wrote.
The frustrated mom claimed that the family was escorted off by airport police, with approximately 180 passengers left in the lurch for several hours at Belfast International Airport. She alleges they had to remain at the airport overnight in order to board another flight the next morning.
"So, that whole day we were in Belfast airport from one lunchtime to nine that night with our child, my legs were so swollen and sore with being on them all this time I was crying uncontrollably that this was happening to us for no reason whatsoever," she said. "I’m so traumatized to the point I don’t know how I’ll ever fly again."
Thankfully, Foster confirmed in an update that the family made it just in time for her brother's wedding, after managing to get a Ryanair flight out of Dublin to Ibiza.
"To say how stressed, upset, and overwhelmed I’ve been I honestly think I’ve no words," she said, before denouncing the airline, writing: "EasyJet should be ashamed of themselves and I most definitely am taking this further, I’m still in shock of how we were treated especially being seven months pregnant and having a disabled child with us."
In a statement obtained by Daily Mail.com, EasyJet has denied any wrongdoing and claimed the mother's family was "behaving disruptively".
"EasyJet’s cabin crew and ground agents are trained to assess and evaluate all situations and to act quickly and appropriately to ensure that the safety of the flight and other passengers is not compromised at any time.
"The Captain took the decision to ask all passengers on the flight to return to the terminal so the situation could be resolved and as soon as it was they re-boarded and the aircraft continued to Ibiza," they added.
