One brave woman has taken to TikTok to call for adult-only suburbs and her video has received a surprising response from parents.

The 27-year-old TikToker, known as Baby Soja on the platform, said there needs to be more areas for people like her who "hate" children.

Baby Soja, who lives in Melbourne, said she is "sick" of little ones ruining the "peace and quiet" of swimming pools and other public places.

Check out what she had to say below:

"I would like to know when somebody is planning on opening an adults-only suburb where everything in it is only for adults," the TikToker said in a video posted last year. "I'm so sick of going places and kids are just everywhere screaming, and I just have to put up with it?"

She recalled a recent day out at the swimming pool, which was ruined by little children jumping in and out of the lap lane, preventing adults from swimming properly.

"They have their own pool and they're in the lap lane pool, not swimming laps just jumping in screaming, and that's just allowed because they're allowed everywhere," she said.

"I just feel like people like me who are evil and hate kids we should have our own suburb where we can just be quiet and undisturbed."

The video has quickly racked up tens of thousands of likes and more than 2,000 comments, with many people - especially parents - agreeing with Baby Soja's thoughts.

One sympathetic mom wrote: "As a parent of two small children, I completely understand what you’re saying and respect that childfree people need space too."

Another agreed: "I think there should definitely be more kid free places, and I’m sure as less people have kids just cuz we’ll start to see them pop up."

A third penned: "I get this because I want more adult only spaces that aren’t centered around alcohol or just for the night time."

A forth chimed in to write: "I have kids and I wish there were adult only restaurants and parks."

A final person wrote: "As a parent I 100% agree with adult only areas, some kids are a struggle to control and it be alot nicer to have areas where we can all have our peace."
