A woman who looks so much like Hermione Granger that her own mother reportedly couldn't tell them apart has gone viral on social media due to her striking resemblance to the Harry Potter character.
Kari Lewis has revealed in an interview that even her mom can't tell her and the extremely intelligent Gryffindor witch, played by Emma Watson, apart.
Watch this adorable interview with Emma Watson and Rupert Grint from all the way back in 2001:She explained that she was just 12-years-old when she was first stopped in the street back in 2001 after the first Harry Potter movie was released.
And over the intervening years, Lewis has cultivated a considerable online following thanks to her striking resemblance. She now boasts more than 32,000 followers on Instagram, where she often shares pictures of herself - including a recent snap dressed in full Gryffindor costume and wielding a wand.
She captioned the post:
"Hi!!! I've been seeing a new increase in followers recently, and I just wanted to say thank you so much for following me! I appreciate it. ????❤ I don't just dress up/cosplay as Emma Watson's characters: I also have Tauriel, Killer Frost, Sabrina Spellman, Cheryl Blossom, and others! I revamped my entire IG and I'll share photos of them soon!"
Another post sees Lewis dressed in Hermione's outfit from the Yule Ball. The image is captioned:
"Oh look, I found another hidden gem in my camera roll. Throwback to a magic Yule Ball night. ????❤ I can't wait for my screen-accurate dress!"
And here's Lewis dressed as another Emma Watson character. She captioned the Perks of Being a Wallflower-inspired post:
"Sam: "Why do I, and everyone I love, pick people who treat us like we're nothing?"
Charlie: "We accept the love we think we deserve.""I finally got around to my Sam from The Perks of Being a Wallflower cosplay test! I still have more work to do on the wig, but OHHHH MY GOSH! I've been wanting to do this for so long!"
In an interview, Kari revealed that her mom sometimes sees photos of Emma Watson and thinks that it's her daughter. Kari also said that she was often approached by customers when she worked in a restaurant who were stunned by the incredible resemblance.
