A woman has been left red-faced after sending her personal trainer a series of unwanted underwear snaps following a hilarious misunderstanding.

Sharing her story on social media, Gemma Hill revealed that she had been asked by her personal trainer to take a series of photos of herself in her underwear as a means of tracking her fitness journey.

In a video posted to TikTok, Gemma - who uses the handle @radiogemmahill - wrote: "I got a PT and he told me to take 'before' photos in my underwear. He said don't [breathe] in, no good angles, just be honest."

She adds: "So I took photo[s] in my bra and pants and sent them to him."

However, it later turned out that Gemma had misunderstood the instruction.

Check out Gemma's video below:

Sharing a screenshot of their messages to one-another, her PT responded to the images by writing: "Hey, sorry Gem I meant take photos for yourself not to send to me. So you can check out your progress."

A mortified Gemma then replied: "OMG I'm so sorry. What a t**t I thought I was meant to send them to you. How embarrassing. I'm so sorry."

To make matters even more uncomfortable, the personal trainer then responded by saying: "Lol no I don't ask clients to send me pictures in underwear [...] I was eating dinner with my girl she's quizzing me who is this check.. [sic]"

Gemma - who looked utterly horrified throughout the video - captioned the post: "How do I go back".

The clip has since amassed over 135,000 views and over 300 comments from fellow social media users - many of whom couldn't help but find enjoyment in the blunder.

"I love you for sharing this. This is a sheer delight," one person wrote.

Another added: "Lol that's so funny! Don't be embarrassed, totally something me and my closest besties [would] accidentally do too!!"

At least Gemma knows not to make the same mistake with her new personal trainer!
