A woman has stunned social media users after revealing how her husband reminds her to "tuck in" her stomach when taking photos.

Saira, who goes by the handle @sairaayan__ on TikTok, shared a video of her and her spouse taking a picture together. In the overlay text of the clip, she wrote: "When you’re taking pictures and he reminds you to tuck in your stomach."

The footage featured the woman's husband tapping her stomach, reminding her to fix her stance. The pair then looked at each other before Saira lightly touched her stomach. They both then smiled at the camera.

In the caption of the post, Saira said she had mixed feelings about her husband's prompt, writing: "I appreciate it but at the same time do I get mad at him for doing that?"

Since the posting of the TikTok clip, it has amassed 2.3 million views and 143.9K likes on the video-sharing app with many users slamming Saira's husband.

Some people expressed in the comment section how they would not be comfortable with their partners telling them to tuck their stomachs in.

One user wrote: "No...even if I asked him his response should be WHY? YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL! why would you let anyone encourage anything like that?"

Another user commented: "Me personally I wouldn’t let that slide."

A third chimed in and said: "He had no right to make you feel insecure like that, you never need to tuck in your stomach that's a part of you and you're beautiful the way you are."

A fourth user shared: "The backhand my husband would get! I guess I understand the reason but there is a polite way to do that! Don’t pat me like that."

Meanwhile, other users on the social media platform defended the TikToker's hubby and said that he probably told her so she could look back at the photos with fond memories.

One user said: "For everyone saying that it’s so messed up, I think he does it cause he knows she’ll get mad the pics didn’t turn out how she wanted it to."

Another person wrote: "People who say it’s messed up and wrong are people who aren’t married. This is perfectly normal, he wants her to look good," while a third user added: "He's a real one."

Despite all the commotion in the comments section, Saira set the record straight and praised her husband, explaining how she hates looking "bloated" in photographs and that she is "more than fine with" him reminding her to tuck her stomach in.

"We’ve been married [two] years and he’s my best friend, he knows I’ll hate the picture afterward if I look hella bloated," she wrote.

"I told him to remind me if I forget to tuck my tummy in myself. I’m literally more than fine with it. I more than appreciate everyone coming to my defense tho [sic]," she added.
