A heartbreaking video is circulating online of a woman in China sitting by her husband's bedside as he takes his final breath, and her final words to him are heartbreaking.

Finding a partner for life is a blessing as having a teammate who supports you through thick and thin is something that shouldn't be taken for granted.

Heading into later life is when the bickering might really start to heighten, but it just confirms the strength of a bond when even in old age, couples still put each other first.

A video is being shared online from the Chinese website Douyin that shows an 83-year-old woman sitting beside her 87-year-old husband's bedside as he passes away.

As per the South China Morning Post, during the video, the woman from the Tianjin municipality can be seen stroking her husband's hair whilst whispering her final words to him.

"Walk to the light. Don’t get lost," she encouraged her husband who lay unconscious following a battle with lung cancer. "Let go of everything. If it’s time to leave, let’s leave without regret," she finished.

As per the outlet, the touching moment was recorded by the couple's grandson, Yi. He later revealed that his grandmother remained strong throughout the day and that she wanted her husband to not suffer any longer.

Despite knowing that this would be the final time that she sat with her husband, the 83-year-old offered her long-time husband words of reassurance.

"Come home after your illness is cured. Let’s keep each other company for some more years and, at our 60th wedding anniversary, let’s ask our kids to hold a big party," she told him.

"I won’t come to visit you in the coming days. I will wait for you at home," she finished, which was enough to move everybody in the room to tears.

As per the South China Morning Post, people who viewed the video were also moved by what they had seen, as one person reportedly penned: "This is love. Despite how difficult it was for her to let go of him, she still hoped he would leave the world well."

A second added: "If my loved one would say these things to me when I was dying, I think I won’t be scared."

Further proof of how powerful love is, is a recent heartbreaking story of a woman passing away just hours after attending her husband's funeral.

Sara Nowak, 42, attended a funeral for her husband Louis on April 1 after he sadly passed away after a battle with cancer on March 19.

Just five hours after attending his funeral, Sara was involved in a single-vehicle crash on State Highway 106 just before 8:30 PM, as reported by ABC affiliate WKOW.

Sara's mother Patricia Cartwright told CBS affiliate WDJT-TV that her daughter "[Couldn't] without him (Louis). So, she is with him."
