Fried chicken vs pizza is one of those fast food toss ups where there is no winner. Whether you opt for something crusty and cheesy, or crispy and crunchy, you are, inevitably missing out on something else equally delicious. Unless you get creative, it’s difficult to have your deep fried cake and eat it. At least, it was.

For anyone who finds the decision between chicken and pizza too traumatic to contemplate, exclusive retail experts Sam’s Club have come up with a delicious solution. Instead of having to buy both options, the Walmart offshoot are now stocking giant, three-pound pizzas, covered in fried chicken bites. Finally, you can have the best of both worlds.

Aside from the exciting combo of poultry and pizza, the enormous pie packs a few more surprises. Officially dubbed the Maker’s Mark Chicken Bite Pizza, the dish is topped with both mozzarella and cheddar cheeses, as well as a separate cheesy sauce. Together with the “homestyle breaded white meat chicken bites”, there’s enough topping to keep everyone happy.
If you like the sound of chicken and pizza, you'll love our BBQ Chicken Stuffed Crust Deep Dish Pizza recipe:

According to the official description on the Sam’s Club website:
“Kids will run to the table for this yummy pizza. Weighing in at three pounds, this pizza delivers on more than just size with a big-time appeal for the whole family. Win busy weeknights with ready-to-bake, take and bake pizzas.”

Measuring a whopping 14”x14”, the square pizza has been designed as a sharing dish, and can allegedly serve up to 10 people. With an estimated 390 calories per slice, it seems unlikely that many people will leave the table hungry. At the very least, they’ll get a balanced dinner. Sort of.

Choosing between fast-food restaurants is like picking your favorite parent. Whichever way you go, you’re bound to end up feeling icky and treacherous as you betray something that you’ve grown up with. No one wants to make that decision.
Fortunately, though most meals are a real catch 22 of deliciousness, the fast-food world occasionally puts tribal differences aside.
These team-ups are the edible equivalent of a Marvel vs DC matchup - pop culture icons coming together to give the fans what they want. When it happens, the only thing to do is cancel your dinner plans and wear something comfortable. Dinner is served.
The latest example of fast-food fusion comes courtesy of two titans. For decades, KFC and Pizza Hut have operated in different quadrants of the deep-fried universe, each catering to completely different audiences. Now, however, they have decided to reach out and join forces, producing a pizza topped with popcorn chicken and made with a KFC gravy sauce.
It really is like all your finger-lickin' Christmases came true at once, except this hunger-curing hybrid was created to celebrate National Pizza Day on February 9.
Check out this mouthwatering recipe for BBQ Chicken Quesadilla Pizza:

In addition to the classic gravy and fried chicken combination, the pie will also feature Pizza Hut’s “Classic Crust” base, as well as toppings of mozzarella and sweet corn. According to photos from the press release, the pizza will also come with its own pots of KFC gravy for dunking.
As ever with announcements that seem too good to be true, there are a few caveats. For instance, the pie will only be available until the 16th of February, and will not be available at all in Northern Ireland. The pizza is also only available in a ‘large’ size, though we assume that that won’t prove too much of an obstacle to enthusiastic fans.
But you better act fast because it will be available online via Pizza Hut Delivery from the 3 to 16 February, and is included as an option in all large pizza deals.
Sometimes, things that sound brilliant on paper, like Batman vs Superman, or Alien vs Predator, end up an abject failure. But, despite being burned before, we can’t see how fried chicken, gravy and pizza doesn’t end up being a roaring success. Here’s hoping our enthusiasm isn’t misplaced.
So, if you want a slice of the action, get yourself over to PizzaHut.co.uk to place your order via the Pizza Hut Delivery between February 3 and February 16 - but be quick before another one bites the crust.

Have you ever dreamed of having Cheez-Its stuffed with actual cheese? Well, today is your lucky day.
The almighty fast-food giant that is Pizza Hut has just made it a reality. However, like so many glorious fast food items (I'm looking at you Daredevil Bites!), they were not made to last and will be on the menu for a limited time only.
Dubbed the Stuffed Cheez-It Pizza, it's not a pizza per se, but four large squares which, at first, look like ordinary Cheez-It crackers. It's only when you bite into them that you'll discover the gooey, mouthwatering cheesy deliciousness within.
The new offering was sampled by Delish editors, who were impressed. They wrote on their website that the Cheez-It Pizza squares lived up to expectations, and consisted of pizza dough sprinkled with the same cheesy dust used in Cheez-Its.
As if that wasn't mouthwatering enough, there are two options available, and they can be ordered plain or with the addition of pepperoni.
According to those who've tried the Cheez-It slices at Delish, to eat them, you have to rip them open, but don't worry about the amount of cheese inside. There's going to be more than enough to keep your cheese-hungry tastebuds satisfied.
Taking all of this into account, with the addition of the marinara sauce, if you didn't know better and were blindfolded, you could easily assume you were eating a pizza!
Pizza Hut explained that they came up with the Cheez-Its Pizza while thinking of the staples of college kids' kitchens and voilà! They combined two of the best.
The Cheez-It Pizza is available at stores throughout the US for $6.49.
However, from September 24, things will get even better with the addition of the bites to Pizza Hut's $5 N' Up Lineup. With the purchase of two items from this menu, the Cheez-Its Pizza will cost just $6. Bargain.

If there's one thing on this Earth that has the power to please everyone, it's food. We all need it, we all enjoy it, and we all love to indulge in a culinary treat every now and then.
But, of course, we all have a preference for different tastes. Some of us prefer sweet flavours, others (*cough* weirdos *cough*) go for more bitter sensations, and almost all of us will have that one go-to dish which no doubt attracts some questioning looks and comments from naysayers who don't agree with our choice.
And yet, there's one miracle food that transcends all these categories - one amazing feat of human ingenuity and design that appeals to even the pickiest of eaters. It is, of course, pizza.
Domino's understands this, and have been on a quest to satisfy the hearts and stomachs of pizza-lovers for almost 60 years now.
Now, with the introduction of their biggest pizza ever, they might just have got one step closer.
Aptly named 'The Big One', the new addition to the menu is the size of EIGHT large pizzas in one pie - meaning it's just about enough to satisfy my cravings when I get in from a heavy night out.
Of course, the pizza is designed to be shared, and so each quarter comes with its own set of toppings. These are: classic pepperoni, the supreme (pepperoni, bacon, beef, sausage, mushroom, pineapple and onion), BBQ meatlover (bacon, pepperoni, ham, beef, sausage and BBQ sauce tops), and the most questionable flavour combo of them all - ham and pineapple.
Unfortunately, The Big One is currently only available in Domino's biggest stores in Australia, and even those that do cater for it are only able to make two pies a day on account of how enormous they are.
It's so large, in fact, that Domino's had to design a whole new pizza box that would be strong and structurally sound enough to withstand the weight of the beast. They also had to manufacture new pans that would be the right size to cook the pizzas.
If you are lucky enough to get your hands on one, though, be prepared to shell out about $50 (which, to be honest, isn't actually a bad deal considering how much food you get). You'll also have to pick it up from the store yourself - preferably with a friend or two to help you - because it's too big to fit on a delivery bike.
"Customers will need to make sure they bring a friend to help them carry the pizza out of the store and clear the boot space in their car so it can lay flat," said Nick Knight, the Domino's Australia and New Zealand CEO.
So, if you've got $50 burning a hole in your pocket, a bunch of friends who need feeding, and a table big enough to host this big boy, I'd suggest you get yourself down to Domino's pronto - The Big One is calling your name.

Fast food’s eternal mac ‘n’ cheese battle has seriously heated up this week with the news that fried chicken giants KFC are stepping into the arena. Supplementing their standard potato-based bowl options, the chain have decided it’s high time that their customers got creamy macaroni, covered in cheese and scattered with crispy pieces of OG recipe chicken. Finally, our prayers have been answered.
[[twitterwidget||https://twitter.com/jonathanmaze/status/1164522507115753473]]
The new dish is scheduled to hit shelves on August 26th, and will mark the chain’s first major change to their bowls for several years. According to a report in Insider, the recipe will feature a three-cheese blend, as well as several nuggets of popcorn chicken, making it easily one of the most mouthwatering options on the menu.
[[youtubewidget||https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TDmJoJ0dI5o&feature=youtu.be]]
In an official statement heralding the news, KFC’s US CMO, Andrea Zahumensky, said, “Mac and Cheese has a cult-like following, and bowl food is a trend that isn't going away anytime soon. So, it made perfect sense to call up a favorite side dish to the big leagues, in a way that only we could, with Mac and Cheese Bowls."
[[twitterwidget||https://twitter.com/businessinsider/status/1164534126659166208]]
While news of the release will certainly be a relief to KFC fans, the truth is that the chain have been relatively slow on the uptake. Controversial chicken chain Chick-Fil-A have already stolen headlines this year, after they launched their own mac ‘n’ cheese side - the first permanent change to their side menu since 2017.
[[twitterwidget||https://twitter.com/bostonmarket/status/1163520399562498054?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1163520399562498054&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.businessinsider.com%2Fkfc-new-mac-and-cheese-bowl-2019-8]]
This change prompted something of a mac ‘n’ cheese war on social media, with rival brands throwing various amounts of shade in each other’s direction. Boston Market, for instance, greeted the news of Chick-Fil-A’s entry into the marketplace with a derisory tweet, writing, “Customer: Can I get something like Boston Market mac & cheese but mediocre? Other guys: My pleasure.” Whether KFC’s move prompts a similar response remains to be seen.

What goes best with fried chicken?
Fried chicken is pretty delicious, as you guys all know, but unlike burgers, pizza or pasta, there's not a clear accompanying side dish that goes with chicken thrown in batter and hot oil. Fans of KFC will argue that mashed potatoes and gravy are the natural partner to fried chicken, but Chick-fil-A have something to say about that.
If we're talking officially, there's nothing we can talk about. Officially. But unofficially, over the last couple of months, there have been little hints that Chick-fil-A are trying out a brand new side dish to go with their particular brand of fried chicken. Mac and cheese, anyone?
[[twitterwidget||https://twitter.com/LexieFork/status/1029190745125576704]]
This was the first sighting, back in mid-August. @Lexiefork was quick to sing the praises of Chick-fil-A mac and cheese, behaving as if the pasta dish had been there the whole time. But it hadn't, and @colin_maher81 had a response which was a lot closer to how I personally would react.
[[twitterwidget||https://twitter.com/colin_maher81/status/1033417944385183744]]
Look at those caps, friends. Look at the enthusiasm in that tweet! That's the kind of response I'd expect for fried chicken with mac and cheese, and this has reportedly been in the pipeline for quite a while. Chick-fil-A began testing their mac and cheese back in 2017, if reports are to be believed, teasing a new line of "Family Style Meals" available in select cities.
"We worked directly with a group of parents to design the new, all-in-one meal bundle to make eating lunch or dinner with a family (or small group of friends) a whole lot more convenient. Instead of worrying about the cooking, simply order and pick up the meal (for a party of four or more), serve it up and enjoy each other’s company!"
With the pasta dish one of two family-friendly sides reportedly available, if this is a test, then mac and cheese has definitely passed it. People all over are showering the side option with praise, and Chick-fil-A has (at times) sought to bask in the sunshine of their latest menu innovation.

[[twitterwidget||https://twitter.com/ChickfilA/status/1051255869789429760]]
"So I need EVERYONE to @ChickfilA and tell them to NOT TAKE MAC AND CHEESE OFF THE MENU!! Alright? Because @ChickfilA Mac and cheese literally keeps me alive! So, please, everyone @ChickfilA and tell them to not discontinue it. Or at least not discontinue it," begs @trollkrista.
She's not really making a lot of sense, but making a lot of sense at the same time - it would keep me alive as well, were I lucky enough to taste Chick-fil-A mac and cheese on my tongue.
So, there you have it, folks. Chick-fil-A might be second to KFC when you think of fast food chicken, but with mac and cheese on the menu, who knows how long that will last? And if you find yourself in one of those places which doesn't have mac and cheese at its Chick-fil-A locations, then maybe it's time to move?
Yeah, I think it might be.
