YouTuber, 22, dies after tragic 650ft fall off mountain while filming video for subscribers

A YouTube star from Denmark has tragically died after a 650-foot fall off a mountain in Italy as he was recording a new video for his subscribers.

Per The Sun, a rescue helicopter arrived at the mountainous setting but sadly, Albert Dyrlund's fall proved immediately fatal for the 22-year-old, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Dyrlund's grieving mother, Vibe Jørger Jensen, confirmed the tragic news to local media outlets. Her late son had been filming content for his YouTube channel when he suddenly fell to his untimely death.

"We are in great grief, but I would like his fans to know," his mom said, according to the paper.

Denmark's ministry of foreign affairs also confirmed the death of the popular YouTuber to Danish newspaper Ekstra Bladet.

Per Newsweek, the fatal incident occurred on Wednesday, July 28, on Mount Seceda, Val Gardena, in the Italian Alps.

The social media star had 168,000 subscribers on his YouTube channel and 224,000 Instagram followers at the time of his death.

Particularly popular on his channel were his music videos for his songs 'Emoji', 'Waffles' and 'Sommer' - as well as his comedy sketches.

Back in 2018, Dyrlund starred in Team Albert, an award-winning movie about a young high school student who aspires to make it big on YouTube.

Following news of his passing, a number of his fans have taken to social media to share their grief over the young man's death.

One fan wrote: "RIP Albert Dyrlund always in our hearts fly high."

Another shared: "On the 28th of July, one of my favorite childhood YouTubers, singer and prospecting actor, has sadly passed, rest in piece Albert Dyrlund, your shining persona will always remain in our hearts..."

A third person added: "Rest in peace Albert Dyrlund, thanks for the good memories."

Meanwhile, another fan wrote: "We’ve lost a big Danish Youtuber Albert Dyrlund, 22 yrs. He died while filming a youtube video on a cliff in Italy."

A final person shared: "Rip Albert! You will never be forgotten."
