Aaron Phypers has filed for divorce from Denise Richards just months after she publicly revealed his input on her OnlyFans page.
The couple tied the knot back in September 2018, a month after the 52-year-old actor had finalized his divorce from Desperate Housewives star Nicolette Sheridan.
However, almost seven years on from their wedding, they are splitting due to “irreconcilable differences," according to court documents obtained by Page Six.
Phypers is seeking spousal support and also asked to keep their assets and debts as separate property, including their power tools, motorcycle, and sports car.
The split comes only months after Richards, 54, declared on the March premiere of her Bravo spin-off series, Denise Richards & Her Wild Things, with Phypers by her side: “I’ll never get divorced again, even if we hate each other," per The Independent.
She added during the episode, “It’s not easy being married to me,” to which Phypers jokingly agreed, saying he would “never get divorced again” and suggesting that if necessary, they could “get different homes.”
However, the actor remained confident that they were “not gonna hate each other” throughout their marriage.
Despite their on-camera optimism, Phypers’ filing revealed that he has not earned income since shutting down his wellness business last year, claiming zero income over the past year.
He stated that Richards allegedly has a monthly income of $250,000 from her OnlyFans content, along with brand deals, appearances, and TV fees for shows.
Phypers also claimed the couple’s combined monthly expenses total $105,000.
The couple worked together on several ventures, including the reality TV star’s OnlyFans career, which she launched in 2022.
And Richards isn’t shy about giving Phypers credit for her OnlyFans success. In a March episode of her reality series Denise Richards & Her Wild Things, the actress opened up while preparing to shoot photos for her page, revealing how her work on the platform has changed her career.
Richards initially joined the content-sharing site after her daughter, Sami Sheen, signed up when she turned 18, and said she quickly realized “how lucrative” it could be. “I will say that I'm in the top 1% of creators on OnlyFans, so I am very grateful,” the 54-year-old shared. “It's very empowering, especially for someone my age, that people still want to see me that way.”
She also admitted that Phypers, has played a key behind-the-scenes role in her success, helping her curate which risqué photos to post for her subscribers. “He’s so supportive,” Richards said. “He knows what men love, and he’ll go through all the photos and say, ‘This is good. Do this. This is what guys like.’”
As part of his divorce filing, Phypers requested that their Smoke & Mirrors Entertainment company be divided 50/50.
Although they do not share children together, Phypers was in the process of adopting Richards’ youngest daughter, Eloise Joni, in 2019.
At the time, Richards shared: "He’s amazing as a Daddy. He’s amazing with my daughters, and he’s adopting my youngest, so it’s really great," per News.com.au.
The fashion model is also mother to two adult daughters, Sami Sheen, 21, and Lola Rose Sheen, 20, with ex-husband Charlie Sheen, whom she was married to from 2002 to 2006.
Phypers and Richards first began dating in June 2017 and tied the knot in an impromptu ceremony documented on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, with Phypers choosing September 8 for its infinity symbol significance.
Despite Phypers listing the Fourth of July as their separation date, Richards appeared in good spirits that day, posting a bikini photo on Instagram with the caption: “Red, white, and a little bit ooh la la.”
Richards has previously spoken candidly about her views on divorce, telling the Divorced Not Dead podcast in 2022 that she felt guilty when she ended her marriage with Sheen but ultimately chose to leave after asking herself: “Would I want my daughters married to this man?”
“No offense to him, but I think he would take that and understand what I’m saying, and that’s when I was like, ‘Well, why am I accepting this?’” she added.
Neither Phypers nor representatives for Richards have commented publicly on the divorce filing.
