Ashley Tropez, who appeared on A&E’s Beyond Scared Straight, has died at the age of 24.

Victorville Police Department responded to the reports of a dead body inside an abandoned home in California, as stated in a press release from the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department.

Per Page Six, authorities responded to the call on August 26 and wrote in the report that they found the former reality TV star "suffering from traumatic injuries".

The case has been identified as a homicide investigation and a 24-year-old named Alexis Call is now in custody. Deputies believe Tropez and the suspect knew each other and "may have been squatting in the residence".

Call is being held at the High Desert Detention Center and has since been charged with murder after appearing in court on Tuesday (August 29).

Tropez was known for her appearance on the A&E show about troubled teenagers spending a few days in prison to learn from the inmates about the realities of being incarcerated.

The Emmy-nominated series - which ran its last episode in 2015 - provided "programs for troubled teens in which inmates reveal the realities of prison life in the hope of deterring them from a life of crime," according to the show’s description.

Tropez featured on the reality show when she was 17 years old and explained during her episode that she was "fighting, getting in trouble and selling weed" as well as saying she's a gang member.

A year after her time on the series, the then-teenager spoke about her time on the series and revealed that the jail visit didn’t change her life, per The Sun.

"I’m still the same person," she said. "I just be everywhere, from friends to family’s houses. Just chilling."

During her episode, she confronted a San Bernardino County Sheriff's Deputy inside a jail facility. She also refused to eat the food given to her by one of the police officers.

"You’d rather sit here and eat all this gang banging s*** come back out again. Because you’re feeling disrespected or whatever," the deputy told her.

Tropez was then asked if she was going to eat her meal but she refused which resulted in the deputy chucking it on the floor and ordering her to clean it up.

However, she still declined to clean up the mess so the deputy said that he will dump the other platter on her head if she didn't follow orders.

"You better dump it on me," she replied while other people cleaned up the mess. The official then gave her a warning about her future, saying: "There [are] only two places on earth you’re gonna end up if you don’t change, here and the other one is death."

They continued: “Emman had a way of making people feel seen and heard, and she wasn’t afraid to share her own journey with mental health. Her authenticity helped so many feel less alone.”

Following news of her death, fans have flooded Emman’s social media pages with tributes, remembering her as “bubbly,” “fun-loving,” and “a bright light.”

Under one of her recent Instagram posts, shared just a week ago, followers left messages of disbelief and grief.

“Can’t believe you’re gone,” one wrote. “You were always present, silly, fun-loving, bubbly, and a light to be around. RIP Emman.”

Her recent posts showed glimpses of her vibrant life, from relaxing by a pool and skateboarding to climbing rocks and sharing childhood photos. In one post, she reflected on her early years with the caption: “This post is dedicated to my childhood and the zoo that raised me.”

Remembering Emman Atienza

Emman was the daughter of longtime Filipino television host and weatherman Kim Atienza and his wife, entrepreneur Felicia Hung. She was also the granddaughter of former Manila mayor Lito Atienza.

According to medical records from Los Angeles County, Emman died at a home in Los Angeles on Wednesday, October 23. She had reportedly moved to the city in August, as reported by the GMA Network.

Friends, family, and followers continue to share memories and condolences online, remembering Emman as a young woman who radiated kindness and connection, both in person and through her growing online presence.

Further heartbreaking details about the death of former child star Evan Ellingson have been released as law enforcement sources have spoken out.

Ellingson was revealed to have died at the age of 35 on Sunday, with the news first being shared by TMZ, who said the tragic news had been confirmed by officials and Ellingson's father.

Officials from the San Bernardino County coroner's office told the outlet that Ellingson passed away on Sunday, with his body reportedly being discovered in a bedroom.

TMZ also reported that foul play does not appear to have been involved in the actor's death.

Ellingson's father, Michael, told the outlet at the time that his son was found at a sober-living home after struggling with substance abuse in the past, adding that his death came as a huge shock to the family as he had reportedly been doing really well of late.

Law enforcement sources have since told TMZ that Ellingson's death is being investigated as a possible overdose after evidence was allegedly found at the scene that may be related to drug use.

They claim drug paraphernalia was found at the home in San Bernardino County and police are conducting an investigation into the circumstances of his death.

Sources close to the case told the publication that how the investigation will proceed will depend on the results of his toxicology tests.

If drugs are found to have been a contributing factor, the authorities may decide to investigate where they came from and if there is any criminal culpability.

Born on July 1, 1988, in La Verne, California, Ellingson showed promise as an actor from an early age, catching the attention of fans and critics alike.

He was known for playing Josh Bauer in 10 episodes of the hit series 24, as well as portraying the role of Kyle Harmon in 18 episodes of CSI: Miami between 2007 and 2010.

US rapper XXXTentacion, who rose to fame with two consecutive hit albums, was shot dead yesterday afternoon.

The 20-year-old was leaving a motorcycle dealership in South Florida on Monday around 4pm when he was approached by two men. XXXTentacion, whose real name is Jahseh Onfroy, was reportedly shot by at least one of the unidentified men, before they both fled the scene in Deerfield Beach in a dark-coloured SUV.

Police officials in Broward County said that Onfroy - who was often described as one of rap's most controversial artists - was then taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Now, footage has emerged of a video Onfroy posted a few months ago on Instagram, in which he seemingly foreshadowed his own demise.

"Worst thing comes to worst, I f*king die a tragic death or some s*t — and I’m not able to see out my dreams — I at least want to know that the kids perceived my message and were able to make something of themselves and able to take my message and use it and turn it into something positive," the rapper said in the video. "And to at least have a good life."

“If I’m gonna die, or ever be a sacrifice, I want to make sure that my life made at least 5 million kids happy — or they found some sort of answers or resolve in my life. Regardless of the negative around my name," he added.

The rapper - who garnered a following after uploading his work to SoundCloud - was facing domestic violence charges in the months leading up to his death. Onfroy was arrested back in 2016 for allegedly assaulting his pregnant ex-girlfriend, Geneva Ayala, who claims to have been beaten by the 20-year-old regularly.

In an interview with the Miami New Times last month, Ayala described some of the abuse that she suffered at the hands of Onfroy. "His favourite thing was to just backhand my mouth," she asserted. "That always left welts inside my lips." Ayala also claimed that the Look at Me! lyricist would threaten suicide to stop her from leaving, noting how he'd often dangle a microwave over a bathtub filled with water.

Last October, Onfroy announced that he was donating $100,000 to domestic violence charities following media coverage regarding his relationship with Ayala. However, there is purportedly no proof of this transaction.

Tributes have been pouring in from hip-hop luminaries in the wake of Onfroy's death. "One of the most interesting people I’ve ever met. Let’s love each other while we’re alive. REST IN PEACE YOUNG KING." Sean "Diddy" Combs wrote about the rapper, who had repeatedly been hailed as a breakthrough talent.

Kanye West took to Twitter to state, "rest in peace. I never told you how much you inspired me when you were here thank you for existing."
