Jason Derulo has been recorded getting into a physical altercation in Las Vegas.
As reported by TMZ, the 32-year-old chart-topper was walking through the ARIA hotel on Tuesday morning prior to the incident taking place.
Video footage shared online shows the 'Want To Want Me' singer walking down an escalator, as two men started to shout at Derulo and call him the name of fellow R&B star Usher.
Footage of the incident shows Derulo walking by as one of the men then shouts: "Hey, Usher! F**k you, b***h!"
It is still unknown if the man was deliberately attempting to antagonize Derulo, or he genuinely believed it was Usher - but the comment was to provoke the international star. Derulo then turned around and charged at the two men, with TMZ reporting that he punched one of the men "right in the face".
Additional footage of the incident then shows Derulo being led away in handcuffs. He has since been released from police custody, the Daily Mail reports.
Reports say that any injuries sustained did not require hospital treatment.
The Guardian has confirmed that Las Vegas police were called to the resort and casino early on Tuesday morning, and have said in a statement that Derulo "committed a battery against two individuals". The publication adds that the ARIA resort made a trespass order against Derulo.
It was also reported that the two individuals recorded shouting at Derulo did not want to press charges, therefore, a police report on the incident was not made. Nevertheless, TMZ notes that they have 12 months to change their minds if they wish to proceed with any charges.
Derulo has not made a public statement on the incident as of this writing.
The 'Savage Love' singer does not have a reputation for getting physical with fans, and is currently celebrating fatherhood following the birth of his seven-month-old son, whom he shares with Jena Frumes, 28.
Frumes and Derulo split last year in September, with Derulo informing his fans on Twitter. He wrote: "Jena and I have decided to part ways. She is an amazing mother but we feel being apart at this time will allow us to be the best versions of ourselves and the best parents we could be. Pls respect our privacy in this time."
