Kourtney Kardashian has shared a heartwarming tribute to her doctors as she opened up about undergoing "urgent fetal surgery".
The post comes after it was announced that Travis Barker - Kourtney's husband and father of her unborn child - had to rush home from a Blink-182 tour following an "urgent family matter".
In a tear-jerking Instagram post on Wednesday evening, reality TV star Kourtney Kardashian opened up about a life-altering medical scare during her current pregnancy, thanking her doctors for their expert intervention in saving her baby's life.
Taking to Instagram, Kourtney didn't shy away from revealing the emotional toll of the unexpected situation. Travis Barker, the Blink-182 drummer and Kourtney's husband, left his tour to rush to her side during the emergency, earning him a heartfelt acknowledgment as her "rock".
Kourtney shared that she had to undergo "urgent fetal surgery," a far cry from her previous pregnancies, which she described as "really easy." This unexpected twist took a toll on her emotions, leading her to confess: "I don’t think anyone who hasn’t been through a similar situation can begin to understand that feeling of fear."
Kourtney expressed boundless gratitude towards her medical team, writing in her Instagram post: "I will be forever grateful to my incredible doctors for saving our baby's life."
She also lauded Barker for his unwavering support, saying: "I am eternally grateful to my husband who rushed to my side from tour to be with me in the hospital and take care of me afterwards."
Not stopping there, the mother-of-three also acknowledged her own mom, writing: "And to my mom, thank you for holding my hand through this."
Kourtney says the ordeal gave her "a whole new understanding and respect for the mamas who have had to fight for their babies while pregnant." Wrapping up her heartfelt Instagram caption, she attributed her ability to leave the hospital with her unborn baby boy still safe in her womb as "the truest blessing," adding: "Praise be to God."
The relieving news comes after Travis shared concerning photos of a prayer room as he was forced to cut his tour with Blink-182 short and rush home to be by his wife's side.
