Bernard Hill, a legendary actor who featured in Titanic and The Lord of the Rings has sadly passed away.
As reported by BBC News, the actor passed away today (May 5), aged 79.
Hill has portrayed a wide range of characters, showcasing his talent for both dramatic and comedic roles.
One of his most notable film appearances came in the epic fantasy trilogy The Lord of the Rings, directed by Peter Jackson.

In the films, Hill played the role of King Théoden of Rohan.
Hill's other notable film credits include roles in Titanic (1997), where he played Captain Edward James Smith, the ill-fated captain of the RMS Titanic, True Crime (1999), Valkyrie (2008), and ParaNorman (2012), among others.
Hill is the only actor to have starred in two movies that have won 11 Oscars - The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, and Titanic.
