Saavedra - better known as “Spicy Monii” from Joseline’s Cabaret Texas - has tragically passed away, per the Mirror.

According to her family, she died in a DUI-related accident on June 14, at just 35 years old, leaving behind two teenage sons, Tyrese and Angel.

Co-star Dana "Queen Envi" Clark first shared the heartbreaking news on social media, referring vaguely to the accident and confirming the driver survived.

Monica’s sister, Melissa, also verified the news. The Zeus Network released a statement that read: “We're deeply saddened to share that #SpicyMonii, who brought unforgettable energy to #JoselinesCabaretTexas, has tragically passed away. Your energy, beauty, and presence will never be forgotten. Rest easy, Queen.”

Monica’s sister has launched a GoFundMe to help cover funeral costs and support Tyrese and Angel as they begin rebuilding their lives.

The GoFundMe read: "With heavy hearts, we share the sudden and heartbreaking loss of our beloved Monica Sandoval Saavedra.

"Monica passed away on June 14, 2025, leaving behind two beautiful sons, Tyree and Angel, her loving mother, two sisters, and a brother. She was loved by many.

Monica was the kind of person who lit up every room she entered. Her generous heart, warm spirit, and unforgettable charisma made her truly one of a kind.

"She was always ready to lend a helping hand to friends, family, and even strangers never asking for anything in return. Her compassion and selflessness left a lasting impact on everyone lucky enough to know her."

The fundraising page also came with a plea: "During this incredibly difficult time, we are reaching out to ask for your support to help cover the funeral and memorial expenses.

"Any contribution, no matter how small, will go directly toward honoring Monica’s life and her loving two children she left behind. We would like to provide her with the farewell she so deeply deserves.

"We thank you for your kindness, prayers, and support as we navigate this profound loss. Monica’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her."

At the time of writing, the page has raised $6,774 out of a goal of $20,000.

Monica, a standout from season five of Joseline’s Cabaret Texas, was one of the show’s most memorable contestants.

The X-rated reality series, aired by The Zeus Network, follows Joseline Hernandez as she scouts dancers and strippers to join her touring show.

Monica stood out as the only plus-size contestant and repeatedly expressed pride in representing bigger women and Latinas.

Despite some co-stars labeling her "boring" - and even Joseline Hernandez calling her out at a pool party for not letting loose - Monica still emerged as a fan favorite.

In episode three, her hesitation to reveal her identity led to her elimination, but that didn't diminish her impact on viewers.

Our thoughts are with her family at this time.
