Salma Hayek and her daughter looked remarkable as they arrived at the Oscars on Sunday evening - with the teen wearing the same dress her mother wore back in 1997!
The 56-year-old From Dusk Till Dawn is known for her glamorous and jaw-dropping red-carpet looks, as she frequently steals the show at any event or movie premiere she attends.
And, if you cast your mind all the way back to the Hollywood Fire & Ice Gala in 1997, you may remember Hayek wearing a stunning red Isaac Mizrahi gown for the evening. But don't worry if you don't remember the dress, because during Sunday's 95th Academy Awards, Halmek's 15-year-old daughter arrived in the exact same gown.
And despite her mom first wearing the dress seven years before she was even born, daughter Valentina Paloma Pinault radiated glamor as she walked the 'champagne carpet' alongside mom Salma, who wore a custom Gucci gown.
Stylist Rebecca Corbin-Murray took to Instagram to give fans a brief look at the process behind the dress choice, writing: "We pulled this beautiful Isaac Mizrahi dress for Valentina from Salma’s archive. Swipe to see when Salma originally wore it in 1997."
And fans absolutely adored the mom and daughter bringing new life to the stunning gown, with one person commenting: "Upcycling in the best way".
A second Instagram user added: "90s minimalism still looking timeless. Both look great!"
Later in the evening, the mom and daughter totally transformed their looks for the Vanity Fair Oscars Afterparty.
Mom Salma looked radiant in another dazzling Gucci gown, while Valentina opted for a simple but stylish pink Gucci dress.
I mean, let's be honest... they could be sisters!
Valentina is the daughter of Hayek and 60-year-old French businessman François-Henri Pinault. Hayek is also stepmom to Pinault's other children, stepkids Augustin, 16, Mathilde, 21, and François, 24.
Speaking to The Telegraph back in September 2020, Hayek revealed why she was happy to welcome her daughter at 41.
"I got to do a lot of things that were important to me first. Most crucially, I had her with the right person at a time when I could really focus on [motherhood]," she revealed.
