Snoop Dogg has teamed up with fellow rapper Master P to help a young boy finally publish his book.

Per Metro, seven-year-old Malakai Roberts' life changed forever on December 21, 2020, while he was at his Lexington, Kentucky, home with his family.

After bullets started to tear through the family's home, Malakai's mom, Cacy, suffered a gunshot wound to her arm while attempting to protect her two sons.

Tragically, when the gunfire ceased, Cacy saw that the then-five-year-old Malakai had been struck in the head.

Thankfully, he survived the attack, with the bullet missing his brain by just two centimeters. However, the injury resulted in Malakai being left blind, as well as destroying his senses of smell and taste.

Despite facing life-changing injuries, the remarkable young boy has spent the last year writing about overcoming adversity.

After getting involved with the Future Healers program in Louisville, the brave youngster wrote the children's book Adventures With Malakai, which is set to be released with help from Snoop Dogg's breakfast cereal brand, Snoop Loopz.

Snoop Loopz was launched by the rapper in an effort to "help tackle homelessness and feed needy families", per the cereal's website. The brand is also dedicated to helping feed families in need and help educate children.

And it's not just one book that Snoop Loopz will be supporting - but an entire series!

Another star who is helping to support the book's publishing is Master P, who has teamed with Snoop Dogg to help Snoop Loopz achieve its mission.

Per Billboard, Master P - real name Percy Miller - told WLKY News: "This book is going to be special because Malakai is special.

"I mean, this kid has never given up with all the adversity he went through so this book is gonna be special. And it’s all about kids, so we’re gonna be able to teach kids and help Malakai keep his adventures going.

"It’s going to be incredible for the kids. I mean, ‘cause we want kids to know how to overcome adversity and by him losing his eyesight with the tragedies he’s been through, this has been incredible to be able to write a book with Malakai."

No release date has been announced for Malakai's book, but Master P did reveal that it will hit bookstores in early 2023.
