As reported by Fox News, Steven Spielberg's daughter has been arrested for domestic violence. The news comes less than two weeks after the director's daughter revealed her intentions to venture into the adult entertainment industry.
Mikaela Spielberg, the adopted daughter of famed Hollywood director Steven Spielberg and his wife Kate Capshaw, was reportedly arrested early Saturday morning around 6:30AM in Nashville, Tennesee.
The 23-year-old's fiancé, Chuck Pankow, confirmed the news to Fox News yesterday (February 29).
In a statement to the news channel, Pankow said: "It is true", but insisted that the incident was "a misunderstanding"
Pankow, 47, did not reveal where or why the incident occurred, nor did he confirm who else was involved. He did, however, say that the famed director's daughter is okay, stating: "No one is hurt."
Fox News was also informed by an official at the Davidson County Sheriff's Office that Mikaela was arrested for the charge of domestic assault (a misdemeanor), and taken to the Hill Detention Center. The aspiring porn star was then placed on a $1,000 bond - which was posted by an unnamed individual.
Mikaela was placed on a "12-hour hold" as a result of the domestic violence charge, and was therefore unable to be released at the time her bond was initially posted.
In an exclusive interview with UK tabloid The Sun last month, the 23-year-old revealed that she has already started self-producing solo porn videos, and said that one her sex worker license is approved, she would like to become a stripper.
Spielberg said: "I got really tired of not being able to capitalize on my body and frankly, I got really tired of being told to hate my body. And I also just got tired of working day-to-day in a way that wasn't satisfying my soul.
"I feel like doing this kind of work, I'm able to 'satisfy' other people, but that feels good because it's not in a way that makes me feel violated."
She also described herself as a "sexual creature".

Regardless of the reputation often associated with the adult industry, Mikaela insists that her parents were "intrigued" and "not upset".
She said: "My safety has always been a number one priority for them. I'm doing this, not out of an urge to hurt anybody or be spiteful about it, I'm doing this because I want to honor my body in a way that's lucrative.
"I actually think that once they see how far I've come from the bottom I was at a year and a half ago, they're going to look at this and go, 'Wow, we actually raised are really self-assured, young lady."
Mikaela also broke the news of her new career venture to her social media followers earlier this month, writing: "I just launched my self-produced adult entertainment career. Safe, sane, consensual is the goal y'all.
"My body, my life, my income, my choice. I owe not a single person my autonomy or virtue just because of a name."
