John Crawley, widely known as KingBeardX and Pimpmunkx on TikTok, has tragically passed away at the age of 47.

The beloved content creator died on Monday in the hospital after suffering a cardiac arrest, according to TMZ.

Crawley had been battling health issues for the past two weeks, being hospitalized due to breathing difficulties.

His longtime friend and former podcast cohost, Anthony Caruso, launched a GoFundMe campaign to support Crawley’s medical expenses after he was placed on a ventilator, transferred to the ICU, and had a chest tube inserted during his hospitalization.

Sadly, despite the best efforts of medical staff, Crawley passed away.

Crawley gained massive recognition on TikTok for his comedic and over-the-top reactions to food videos.

Known for his signature fluffy beard, his hilarious responses to everything from bizarre food combinations to viral eating trends earned him a devoted following of more than 2.5 million on TikTok and nearly a million on Instagram.

As a result of his infectious humor and the way he connected with his audience, Crawley became a beloved figure on social media. Fans flooded social media with tributes after news of his passing broke, recalling how his videos brought them joy during tough times.

"You made us laugh on our darkest days, thank you for sharing your light, KingBeardX," one fan wrote.

Another added: “Gone too soon, but your voice and humor will live on forever in our feeds.” Yet another wrote, "Thank you for always keeping it real, man. You made the internet feel like home."

Crawley's health struggles began earlier this month when he went to the hospital for trouble breathing.

According to a family member, doctors placed him on a ventilator after his condition worsened, with his oxygen levels dipping below 66%, per the Independent.

He was moved to the ICU, where medical staff worked to stabilize him, but unfortunately, he did not recover.

The GoFundMe campaign, initially set up to help with medical expenses, now serves to cover funeral costs and support Crawley’s family.

At the time of writing, the campaign had raised just over $4,500 of its $9,000 goal. His family has expressed their gratitude to everyone who has contributed.

Caruso wrote in the fundraiser update: "I’m really sorry to tell everyone the bad news, but Pimpmunkx (KingBeardX) passed away yesterday. Thank you to everyone that has supported the fundraiser so far. His mother says thank you all."

Known for his positive energy, Crawley was described by funeral director James Steele as "a good guy" who "lit up a lot of people’s worlds."

Steele, who had visited Crawley’s family after his passing, said: “I just left his house and was with his mother, we prayed together. She's torn up right now but she's going to make it.”

Crawley’s last TikTok post was shared on July 22, just days before he was hospitalized. His death has left many fans heartbroken, but his influence and humor will continue to live on through the countless videos he shared.
