People have been left shocked and confused after a video of a husband losing his temper on behalf of his wife has recently gone viral.
Now, when you're in a relationship, of course, you're going to be your partner's number-one fan. Whether they're pursuing a new passion or just changing things up, you'll want to show your support for their new goals.
One man took this concept a little too seriously, so much so that he resorted to violent means after his wife came second place in a beauty pageant in Brazil.
The event saw a host of beauty queens fight it out to take home the prestigious crown - though that wasn't possible after the enraged man got his hands on it.
Have a look below:The footage, which was obtained by TMZ, saw Emannuelly Belini who was representing Várzea Grande, being named the winner of at the country's Miss Gay Mato Grosso 2023.
Just as she was about to be crowned, Nathally Becker, who came in second reached out to hug the winner when her husband rushed the stage, grabbed the crown and threw it onto the ground.
Everyone, including his wife, turned to look at him in shock as security tried to throw him off stage.
Instead, the irate man grabs onto Becker's locks and pulls her with him as others tried to usher him off the stage.
However, as one final act of defiance, he picks up the crown, which is already damaged and laying on the floor, and smashes it again, sending thousands of glittering pieces flying everywhere.
The video was immediately reposted to both Twitter and TikTok where thousands of fans gathered to express their opinions on the controversial clip.
"He said if my wife can’t win, no one can," wrote one user.
"Bro a real rider but it ain’t that serious," added another.
A third responded with this: "How hard I’m going for my wife when I have one" to which someone else replied: "Need this energy fr."
Some even went as far as comparing him to Ye, formerly known as Kanye West.
Over on TikTok, we saw a similar type of reaction, with some joking about the incident, while others slammed the man's actions.
"[He's] mad cause he really wanted to wear the crown at home," this TikTok user said while another clearly recognized how he had pulled his wife's hair in order to get her to follow him, stating that if her husband ever thought about doing that, he would be "laid out."
As per the outlet, the pageant put out a statement after the show in which they re-iterated that despite the incident that unfolded that weekend, Belini still came out on top. They also condemned Becker's husband's behavior and added that the organizers of the competition would be taking legal action against him.
It looks like someone may benefit from some anger management classes...
