McDonald's has announced some very happy news for its adult customers.

Earlier this week, the fast-food giant revealed that they'd be making their iconic Happy Meals available in grown-up sizes.

The limited edition menu item will hit US-based stores on Monday (October 3), and comes as part of McDonald's collaboration with fashion streetwear brand Cactus Plant Flea Market, per The Independent.

Dubbed the 'Cactus Plant Flea Market Box', the meal has everything you'd expect from an iconic kid's Happy Meal. Customers can choose between a Big Mac and a 10-piece Chicken McNugget meal, which comes with a side of fries and a drink.

In true Happy Meal style, the meal even comes with a collectible toy - one of four fun figurines described as "the Hamburglar," the "Grimace", the "Birdie," and the "Cactus Buddy".

Meanwhile, it wouldn't be a happy meal if it didn't come in a colorful cardboard box. The packaging for the adult meal has been redesigned to feature Cactus Plant Flea Market's designs and logo, as well as handles made out of McDonald's iconic golden arches.

Grown-ups eager to relive their childhood and get their hands on the limited edition Happy Meal will be pleased to discover that, from the start of next week, it will be available in the restaurant, at the drive-thru, or on the McDonald's app until supplies last.

The fast-food chain's Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer Tariq Hassan described the menu item as "reigniting a new generation's love" for McDonald's.

"We’re taking one of the most nostalgic McDonald’s experiences and literally repackaging it in a new way that’s hyper-relevant for our adult fan," he said, adding: "I can’t wait to give fans a unique piece of art and culture as we dive headfirst into the dynamic world of Cactus Plant Flea Market together next week."

"With menu favorites like the Big Mac and McNuggets at the center of this collab, this is another way we’re reigniting a new generation’s love for our food and the brand," Hassan added.

As well as the adult Happy Meal, McDonald's collaboration with Cactus Plant Flea Market will also include exclusive merchandise. This will include t-shirts and a chair, and become available to purchase online at the same time as the box next week.
