Boy, 4, dies following 'serious incident' at Longleat Center Parcs

Authorities have confirmed that a four-year-old boy has died following a "serious incident" at Longleat Center Parcs in Wiltshire, UK.

The incident is said to have taken place in a swimming pool at the resort just after 11:00AM this morning (December 24), with police being dispatched to aid the South Western Ambulance Service.

Per Sky News, Wiltshire Police have said in a statement: "Our thoughts are with the boy's family at this difficult time."

Police have added that the young boy's death is not being treated as suspicious.

The tragic incident reportedly took place in the Subtropical Swimming Paradise at the resort, which features various slides and a wave pool.

Earlier on Saturday, a police spokesperson stated: "We're in attendance at Longleat Center Parcs near Warminster in support of South Western Ambulance Service following reports of a serious medical incident involving a child shortly after 11AM today.

"We will provide a further update when it's appropriate to do so."
