Former FBI agent provides latest update on 'Porch Guy' suspect as Nancy Guthrie case enters third week
An ex-FBI agent has been reassessing the details surrounding the mysterious ‘porch guy’ suspected in the kidnapping of Nancy Guthrie.
The chilling footage emerged over a week go, but now with the search entering a third week, it’s time to re-evaluate what we know.
Former FBI agent believes ‘Porch Guy’ is the key to Nancy Guthrie case
The footage captured from the doorbell camera outside Nancy Guthrie’s Arizona home has become the key to the case surrounding her disappearance.
The footage shows a man with a gun wearing a balaclava and carrying a backpack approaching her door then attempting to tamper with the camera upon realizing it was there.
Following that, the police have investigated a number of leads including DNA, blood spattering, a discarded glove, and more, but this footage remains among the most compelling pieces of evidence.
In fact, ex-FBI agent Jennifer Coffindaffer believes it is the ‘strongest clue’ in the whole case, as it tells us the most about the person believed to have been involved in the 84-year-old mother of TV host Savannah Guthrie's disappearance.
Sharing a regular update on X, Coffindaffer provided a helpful recap of everything we know about ‘Porch Guy’.
Who is the masked suspect on Nancy Guthrie’s camera?
Coffindaffer wrote: “Revisiting the Strongest clue in Nancy's case:
"Porch Guy."
She then listed the characteristics of the man as follows.
*Male
*5'9"-5'10"
*Likely shops at Walmart
*Groomed Eyebrows
*Mustache
*Pinky Ring
*One eye slightly fades inward
*Not proficient with firearms
There is some speculation about all of those facts, but there aren't many more reliable sources to get information from than an ex-FBI agent who has experience in cases such as this.
As she points out, it is simply the best that we have to work with at the minute.
The ex-agent then added: “Please continue to circulate. It's the key.
“Some relative, coworker, or friend knows who this is.
“$300,000 now to come forward.”
That $300,000 is now the offer put forward by the FBI and another individual for information leading to arrests of suspects or Guthrie’s safe return.
There have been no significant developments for several days now, with the police and family still confident that she is alive and can be safely returned to her devastated family.
With the search entering a third week, everyone involved will be hoping that the situation moves along quickly and resolves for the best.
