Marius Gustavson, a Norwegian national, was the ringleader of a disturbing extreme body modification enterprise based in Kensington, London.

The pay-per-view website, titled ‘Eunuch Maker’, shared graphic content of "dangerous, unnecessary, and life-changing surgeries" carried out by people with no medical qualifications, per Sky News.

According to the outlet, the man operated on an unprecedented scale with a “staggering” 22,841 registered users and amassed almost $400,000 over six years. He also recruited others to help him carry out more operations.

Gustavson pleaded guilty to conspiring to commit grievous bodily harm, five counts of grievous bodily harm with intent, making and distributing an indecent photograph of a child, and possession of criminal property, per The Guardian.

He has been jailed for life with a minimum term of 22 years for his sick crimes, while six others were also sentenced to prison time.

When police raided Gustavson's home, they discovered several amputated body parts in various conditions. Among those were his penis and nipples - which were removed by a male escort and kept in a closet for four years.

During the man's sentencing hearing at the Old Bailey, the court heard disturbing testimony regarding videos that featured the defendant consuming severed body parts.

One horrific photo retrieved from Gustavson's phone dated June 22, 2018, showed he "cooked some testicles for lunch," Sky News reported.

Prosecutor Caroline Carberry KC told the courtroom that the man's device also contained photos of "raw ingredients" including human testicles which were then put together in an "artfully arranged salad platter".

“All of these individuals were active in the extreme body modification or mutilation scene and the consensual or mutilation of male genitalia," Carberry KC said about Gustavson and his accomplices.

"It is a remarkable feature of this case that the website was operating in plain sight – not on the dark web – accessible to anyone who stumbled upon it and had the inclination and means to pay to view the gruesome footage,” she added, per Evening Standard.

The Eunuch Maker's horrific crimes will be spotlighted in a new documentary hosted by Marcel Theroux, the brother of Louis Theroux.

The show, which will air on the Crime + Investigation network, will offer a chilling glimpse into the world of body modification and amputation.

The filmmaker opened up about meeting Gustavson in an interview with The Mirror, sharing: "When I went to see him I was expecting a monster, but he came across as rather charming and quiet.

“When you meet him, he presents as thoughtful and engaging. It’s part of the power that he had over people. He’s able to talk about really outlandish things in a way that, for a moment, seems to normalize them.

“That’s a very seductive and dangerous power to have with vulnerable people. A lot of them were struggling and were quite ashamed, and if you meet someone who says, ‘You’ve nothing to be ashamed of, I can fix this’, that was his power. In the hour I spent with him, I found him affable,” he added.

The Eunuch Maker is available to watch on Crime+Investigation and Crime+Investigation Play.
