Prince Philip has undeniably been an integral part of the Royal Family for over seven decades.
Born in 1921 on the Greek island of Corfu, the royal consort had served in the Royal Navy and later became known for his sense of humor and occasional gaffes.
It has been said that after he met the Queen, he "never looked at anyone else".

Over his long and fulfilled life, he proved his dedication to serving his Queen and country through his countless engagements each year, continuing to work well into his 90s.
The Duke of Edinburgh was married to the Queen for more than 70 years and is the longest-serving consort in British history.
