Prince Philip has undeniably been an integral part of the Royal Family for over seven decades.

Born in 1921 on the Greek island of Corfu, the royal consort had served in the Royal Navy and later became known for his sense of humor and occasional gaffes.

It has been said that after he met the Queen, he "never looked at anyone else".
