Weston Jr., who was born on camera during Season 1 of the hit MTV reality show, died unexpectedly on June 2, 2025, just two months after his 16th birthday.

Now, reports claim Whitney didn’t make it into her son's memorial service, with conflicting stories between the grieving mother and Weston Jr.'s father, Weston Gosa Sr., making headlines.

Whitney shared the devastating news in a tearful Facebook post: “This is so hard to write. My beautiful son, Weston, has passed away. He was only 16 years old. Life is so cruel and unfair. I just don't understand.”

She continued: “Oh my baby is gone and I don't know what to do with myself. He was so perfect. This is really my worst nightmare come true.

"How do you go on in life after losing a child? I'm in disbelief, this cannot be happening. I don't want it to be real. I would do anything just to hold him. Words just can't describe the pain I am feeling.

“I love you so much, Weston Owen Gosa. God, I love you so much. You are my heart. I was so proud of the young man you were becoming. I just can't go on without you. Rest in Peace, my angel. You are gone too soon. April 2, 2009 - June 2, 2025.”

But grief has been compounded by funeral drama, as a source close to Whitney claims she missed her son's memorial after allegedly being given the wrong time, per TMZ.

According to this source, Whitney arrived at the chapel in Georgia on Saturday only to be told that the service had started at 2:00PM, not 4:00PM as she believed, and that she was not on the guest list.

Weston Sr. disputes that account. He insists he informed Whitney a week in advance that the viewing would begin at 2:00PM, with the service starting promptly at 4:00PM, and that he clearly stated the event would have strict guest list policies.

According to Weston Sr., Whitney’s mother, aunt, and uncle were able to attend after arriving at 3:00PM.

But Whitney showed up after 4:15PM, by which point the chapel doors were locked and the service had begun. The funeral director reportedly told her she could not enter, and she responded with anger.

At 5:10PM, Weston Sr. said Whitney began texting him.

She called him “evil” for barring her from their son’s service.

She also allegedly claimed she was not on the guest list, to which Weston Sr. replied with a photo showing her name was included.

Despite the conflict, Weston Sr. and Amy reportedly purchased a separate urn of Weston Jr.'s ashes so Whitney could have a portion.

Whitney gave birth to Weston Jr. during Season 1 of 16 and Pregnant, alongside her then-boyfriend Weston Lewis Gosa Sr..

The couple welcomed a second son, River, in 2014 before ultimately splitting again.

Whitney later lost custody of both sons, and in 2024, she was arrested for failing to make child support payments.

Weston Sr. has also had legal troubles, including multiple arrests for driving on a suspended license, and both were previously arrested in 2012 for smashing electronics.
