The Deputy Chief of the Atlanta Police Department has been identified as the high-ranking cop who was allegedly having loud intercourse with a federal judge.
Identified as a "prominent" cop at first, Kelley Collier has been unmasked as the man who was reportedly having a controversial affair with Federal Judge Eleanor Ross.
Reports emerged detailing that he was the officer who was allegedly having loud sex with the judge, as people could hear kissing and moaning.
Collier has been accused of having an affair with the married Judge Ross, as reported by Bloomberg Law.
Ross has reportedly received a private reprimand for having sex with the police officer in her chamber, which is in earshot of law clerks, according to a source.
The Police Department said on Thursday (May 27) that they were looking into the accusations.
Collier, 55, is the community services division commander with the Atlanta PD, according to the department's website.
His bio further read: “Collier has a passion for analytics, computer technology, and efficient management strategies and he applies these skills daily to achieve positive outcomes for the department.”
In the wake of allegations against him, they posted on their website: “The Atlanta Police Department has launched an investigation to determine if the person mentioned in the Committee on Judicial Conduct and Disability of the Judicial Conference of the United States, is indeed an employee of the Atlanta Police Department.”
It's said that Collier and Ross, 58, allegedly had sex in “chambers and during business hours” which people in the vicinity could hear, a judicial complaint read.
This would later be confirmed by a judicial committee.
Ross, who is part of the Atlanta-based US District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, was nominated by President Barack Obama and confirmed by the Senate in 2014.
Previously a state court judge and a federal prosecutor, she has got into legal trouble in the past, after attending a partisan political event and making false statements to judges questioning her conduct.
Ross is currently married to Georgia state court Judge Brian Ross.
Collier and Ross were unnamed in the report
Bloomberg Law reported that a special judicial conduct committee of the Eleventh Circuit found an unnamed judge guilty of engaging in sexual intercourse in their chambers.
The report detailed that this was over the course of a two-year relationship, which “demonstrated a gross lack of judgment” and resulted in a “chambers workplace that was extremely uncomfortable and troubling for clerks.”
It further detailed that it was with an unnamed police department commander, which made it a “conflict-of-interest risk.”
Court papers read: “For two years, the Subject Judge was a federal district judge who routinely heard criminal cases engaged in a secret extramarital relationship with a prominent officer of a large law enforcement agency in the judge’s district.”
It also detailed that the cop was a “commander of a certain division” and has served Atlanta since 1998, which Collier has.
