Donald Trump Jr. is selling $500 videos of himself to fans on Cameo

Donald Trump Jr. is flogging videos of himself to fans on Cameo for at least $500 a pop.

Per Independent, the son of former POTUS Donald Trump has been charging large fees for videos of himself on Cameo, a service that allows users to commission video messages from celebrities.

Donald Trump Jr recently asked Elon Musk to create a new
social media platform following his father's Twitter ban:

Trump's Cameo profile states that he is currently charging $525 for a standard video, which he'll deliver in two to seven working days, and $787 for a video turned around in 24 hours or less.

His Cameo bio states that Trump Jr. is a: "Father, Patriot, Outdoorsman, Businessman, Political Commentator and #1 NYT Bestselling author."

A portion of the proceeds from the revenue generated by these videos will be donated to the Shadow Warriors Project, a non-profit foundation that supports private US military contractors.

In one of these videos, Trump Jr. addresses a fan directly by stating: "Don't worry about it if your wife's mad at you for saying that election night 2016 was the happiest night of your life.

"There [are] millions of people just like you, you can tell her I said that. Thanks for helping us out and support us in going after the liberals and the crazies on CNN."

This venture comes not long after Donald Trump Jr. took to Instagram to ask Tesla CEO and billionaire to create a new social media tool in the wake of his father's indefinite ban from a number of prominent platforms.

In a video addressed to his 4.5 million followers, he stated: "Why doesn't Elon Musk create a social media platform?

"This guy put manned people into space. He did so privately. He took on big government and did it better, cheaper, faster than they ever could. This is the guy to do it."

He added: "Someone like him has the brilliance to come up with something that blows Twitter away.

"I am not looking for a conservative echo chamber, I want a platform to argue my ideas vs someone else's and not just people in a place telling me what I want to hear."

It comes as the former president's personal blog, From the Desk of Donald J Trump, has been shut down permanently less than a month after launching.

Senior Trump aide Jason Miller confirmed to CNBC on Wednesday that the site will not be returning, stating: "It was just auxiliary to the broader efforts we have and are working on."
