A couple have reportedly lost their jobs after their abusive rant at a Lyft driver went viral on social media.
The incident was recorded by driver David Kangogo, who identified one of the passengers only as "Joe" from Issaquah in Washington.
After the footage was posted to social media, it caught the attention of the couple's respective employers and they both lost their jobs, the New York Post reports.
In the footage, which was posted to Instagram earlier this week, Joe repeatedly describes the driver as a "f***ing sand [N-word]" after the driver asked them to wear face masks.

Joe's wife realizes that his actions are being filmed and attempts to warn him to stop, repeating "you're being filmed".
She then informs the driver that as a result of the incident, she will "never drive Lyft again".
She added: "We expected a Lyft drive home."
As the racist encounter draws to a close, Joe threatens to urinate in the driver's car.
He says: "I'll feel better when I p*** in here."
Joe then approaches the car to urinate but does not actually go through with the act.
As per The Independent, the incident was described as "simply disgusting" and "horrid" on Instagram.
The abusive rant took place as a result of the couple refusing to wear face coverings in the vehicle, despite it being one of the CDC recommendations to keep yourself and others safe during the ongoing pandemic.
However, the couple's bad behavior did not go unchecked, and the pair received their comeuppance.
In an interview with New York Post, Joe revealed that the couple didn't just lose their jobs as a result of the incident, but they have been evicted from their rental home too.
Joe has since apologized for his actions, which he put down to intoxication.
In an email statement to the Post, Joe wrote: "I should have never said the things I said nor acted like a complete idiot. He didn't deserve that. Nobody does.
"I had too much to drink and lost control of my tongue and I said horrible things that I truly regret."
This couple are not the first people to become aggressive when asked to wear a mask, and earlier this year, a woman was filmed woman jumping on a KFC counter and demanding staff give her some chicken after she was refused service.
