A former Fox News anchor has gone viral after a clip of her losing her temper at a colleague has circulated online, amidst a legal battle.
Taryn Asher could be seen getting heated with a coworker while filming a PSA regarding a script mix-up, with the US newscaster throwing profanities at a woman known as 'Trace'.
It's been reported that earlier this year, Taryn was fired from Fox 2 Detroit for "unprofessional behavior" and "outbursts" and that she is now in a legal battle with her ex-employer over workplace discrimination.
According to reports from Michigan, the anchor was warned for the outburst, which took place in December 2023, before being removed from the air in November 2025.
This May, she received a letter in the post, confirming that she was relieved of her post.
Taryn then hit back by filing a lawsuit in June, claiming that she was a victim of gender discrimination, before then re-filing it in July.
The heated exchange between Taryn and Trace was captured on camera, after the former questioned what script she was reading from.
“I’m in Amy’s script. The second thing didn’t make sense so I was just trying to fix that part,”
Taryn could be heard explaining that she was "still working," replying to a grievance by explaining that she "didn't have time" to change something about the script.
She then accused Trace of “walking out really angry,” as she could be heard walking out and closing a door behind her.
Taryn could then be heard calling her colleague a “b***h” and adds: “Jeez, oh Pete’s.”
The ex-newscaster could be seen looking stunned with her mouth open, before exclaiming: “Can I please finish what I was going to say? What the f**k. Grow up.”
A male co-worker then approaches her to calm her down, to which Taryn replies: “I’m so done with her antics, telling on me every five seconds. I’m done.”
The newscaster explained in the lawsuit that the station treated male coworkers, who have been accused of misconduct, more leniently than it treated her.
She last posted on social media six months ago, providing an update on her absence from the local news channel.
“Right now, I’m working to thoughtfully resolve a work-related matter that was unexpected, and I appreciate your patience and understanding as that process continues. I truly believe that, in time, things have a way of becoming clear," Taryn explained.
She added: “I’ve also been grateful for the chance to get away and spend meaningful time with my daughter and share special moments with close friends – lots of love and laughter – a reminder of what matters most.
“Thank you for standing by me. Thank you for caring. And thank you for your continued support.”
