A woman threw herself a divorce party at a Chicago bar, put a poster board on the counter listing the '10 worst things my ex-husband did during our marriage', and filmed every single person who walked up to read it.
The reactions were spectacular.
We're talking hands over mouths, eyes wide open - that sort of reaction.
One man's face twisted into a silent howl, and even the bartender froze mid-pour and did a double-take.
The TikTok has been viewed over 30 million times garnering 45,000 comments, but - crucially - nobody knows what the board actually says.
Content creator Abbey Wellman posted the clip in June.
It was filmed at Mary Jo McGuire's, a bar in Chicago, during what she described as a party to celebrate the end of a 'long and emotionally draining process'.
The video is 60 seconds long, set to dramatic music, and shows one guest after another walking up to the poster board, reading the list, and visibly losing their composure.
Nobody kept a straight face.
The board itself is visible in the clip but too blurred to read.
That was apparently deliberate. Wellman has said in a follow-up video that she is 'legally not allowed to post the board'.
That has not stopped people trying.
Multiple viewers have screenshotted the video and zoomed in. All they got was blur.
The comments section has been losing its mind for six weeks straight.
'Girl if you don't show us the damn board…' one person wrote.
'I'll sign an NDA just to know,' said another.
One viewer offered to buy Wellman drinks in exchange for seeing the list.
Another suggested she could whisper the contents into a phone call if she didn't want to post them publicly.
Some were more supportive than nosy.
'There's something so validating about getting reactions like that,' one wrote. 'Like yes, it really was that bad.'
Others were less convinced. On Reddit's r/TikTokCringe, commenters questioned whether the video lived up to its own premise, pointing out that it was essentially a minute of people's faces without ever showing what they were reacting to.
The Daily Dot called it a video that 'has gone viral for all the wrong reasons'.
Wellman told the New York Post she got the idea from the film 10 Things I Hate About You.
She said she wanted all her friends to be 'on the same page' about what happened during her marriage and figured a list at a party was the most efficient way to do it.
She has not shared when exactly the marriage ended. Her TikTok posts from late 2025 and early 2026 show her mentioning her ex-husband less and less before the divorce party video arrived in June like a hand grenade.
They have been for a while, but they are getting more public.
In a separate TikTok compilation about divorce parties, one woman said she hosted hers as 'the ultimate girls' night' where guests brought appetisers and desserts, did crafts, and drank wine while she staged her entire house from scratch.
Another woman filmed herself burning her marriage certificate at hers.
A third had a dress code where every guest came dressed as 'past versions of her ex-husband'.
Wellman's version is the one that went nuclear, though. 30 million views and counting.
Nobody knows what is on the board. And based on the faces of the people who read it, it is probably better that way.

A woman has sparked a debate on relationships after she shared a video showing her husband appearing to look at photos and videos of other women on social media.
The woman - who goes by the handle @lyjones0 on TikTok - took to the video-sharing platform earlier this month to share her sneaky post. The video shows her standing on the floor above her husband, as he sits on the couch below while on his cell phone.
As she starts to zoom in on his screen, it's clear that he's scrolling through pics and videos of other women.
Over the top of the video she wrote: "My husband forgot we got a second floor balcony (laughing emoji)."
Check out the sneaky video below:The video has since amassed over 3.1 million views and more than 4,600 comments from fellow TikTokers. In fact, in the video's comments section, a debate was ignited over whether or not the husband was actually doing anything wrong.
"Imagine if men spent as much time trying to please their partners as they did looking at other women," one TikTok user commented.
Another added: "This is when you lose interest in your husband. And he wonders why you won’t be romantic with him."
A third wrote: "My partner did this and I never felt the same or secure with him again. It’s not what it is, it’s what it means. He knew he blew it too."
"That would give me the ick and I’d end up leaving," a fourth commented.
Others, however, were more supportive of the husband, with one guy writing: "He’s just looking. We all do it. Let the poor guy alone."
One TikToker joked: "I wouldn’t care about my husband looking at girls he could never pull. Hell, he barely pulled me."
Even comedian David A. Arnold got involved in the discussion, commenting: "Let that man be. S**t."
It would appear as if @lyjones0 found the funny side in the situation, as she responded in a follow-up video by shooting a Nerf gun at her husband.

A woman has divided the internet after she proudly burned her wedding dress during a "divorce photo shoot."
Taking to TikTok on March 26, Lauren Brooke (AKA @lauren_brooke91) from North Carolina posted a series of videos of her burning her wedding dress after recently getting divorced.
The clips showed the mom-of-two dressed in a red tulle gown, dragging her wedding dress across a big field and into a woodland area where she set it alight.
The flames burned through the material as Brooke watched on, gesturing as if to wash her hands of her ex.
Watch the video below:While the moment may have been iconic for Brooke and the perfect way to symbolize the ending of her long-term relationship, it seemed to rub some people up the wrong way.
However, the majority of people commended the TikToker for her bad b**** attitude.
One user wrote: "Good for you girly!!!"
"This is bada**," added another.
A third commented stating it must have felt "amazing" to rip up the dress and set it on fire.
Speaking to the New York Post, the 31-year-old opened up about the inner workings of her relationship.
She said that she and her partner fell in love when the two attended the same Baptist church growing up. Then in 2012, they walked down the aisle and said "I do" to each other.
However, as the years progressed, their relationship "deteriorated", with a portion of the blame lying on her ex-husband's job in the Army National Guard.
"It can be difficult to be a military wife... The pressures from his job put a strain on the marriage," she added.
Subsequently, the pair ended up getting separated and their divorce was finalized in January.
She also revealed that ever since she posted the videos showing her burning the remains of her old flame, she's been fearing for her family's safety.
Brooke said she received messages from people calling her fat, which she said was "hilarious" because it's simply not true.
"A lot of people think I wanted revenge, and I was like, 'If I wanted revenge, there’s a million other ways I could have done that,'" she continued.
"I’ve been called a narcissist and attention-seeking, and people are saying I was the problem," Brooke added before clarifying: "The photo shoot wasn’t celebrating the divorce itself – it was celebrating the fact that I survived it."
Alongside the videos, Brooke also posted some photos taken of the scene by her mom, who - very handily - is a professional photographer.
"It was great to see her laughing — the year had been extremely difficult with so many emotions trying to navigate a new normal," her mom told the outlet.
"What else was I going to do with my wedding dress? It couldn’t be returned and I wouldn’t want to give it to my daughter – not after the way it ended. So why not burn it?" Brooke explained, also adding that her new partner also came to commemorate the occasion.
Brooke and her current boyfriend met on Tinder back in February and have been together ever since.
"She’s a wonderful, amazing woman and I want to be there to support her however I can," he said when speaking of her.
Despite their newfound love, the 31-year-old isn't planning on getting hitched again any time soon.
"I honestly don’t know that I’ll ever get married again," she said. "I’m just at a place where I’m happy, I’m content and I’m no longer sad or heartbroken. I’m focusing on me, my kids and my current relationship."

What better way to celebrate a couple's romance than by bringing a white dress, a tiered wedding cake, and a bunch of single hopefuls waiting to catch the bride's bouquet all together under one roof? Weddings really are the stuff of fairytales.
Though, not all weddings go so smoothly. In fact, netizens recently appear to be divided over a certain wedding in particular that has now gone viral on TikTok, after it showed the moment a husband smashed cake into his bride's face in front of their guests.
The video, which has reached over 190,000 views and garnered more than 3,000 likes, shows Jade Kennedy and her husband on what is meant to be the happiest day in any couple's lives.
"It's official we're mr and mrs price [...] he got me back for doing it to him good and propa [...] love my a***hole of a husband all the world [sic]," her clip's caption reads.
In the viral TikTok, Jade's husband, David, is shown marching across the dance floor and over to a table where their tiered wedding cake stands, before slicing off a piece of cake and turning to face his bride, who backs away into a corner. David then squishes the cake into the side of Jade's face as she falls to the ground - all while a viral TikTok song with the words: "Oh no, oh no, oh no no no no no" plays in the background.
While the guests at the wedding cheered and laughed, many viewers commented on the video, which has been shared across numerous platforms as a result of incredibly divided opinions.
"I don't see nothing fun about this. She is on the ground with cake all over her dress, he didn't even help her clean up it was awkward it looks intimidating and no doubt he's abusive," one person commented.
Another person continued: "Sometimes abuse isn't recognised as abuse because it's widely accepted in some circles. Nonetheless this isn't funny or sweet it's abuse !! It was done with force not with humor."
Someone else chose to take issue with the apparent wasting of food, writing: "I don't care about her in this situation, she knew who she was marrying. What irks me is when people play with food like that in general. Bad manners, simply disgusting. Y'all need to live through some tough times, I swear."
Though, not everyone saw the TikTok in a negative light. "Or maybe it's both their humor and they are having fun. She did trip too making it look worse as well people need to lighten up," one user said.
"I've seen things like this all over the internet, it's nothing new and the Couples are always ok afterwards normally. So it's not really news worthy or noteworthy," another person added.
Given the polarized opinions from netizens, Jade has since disabled the comments section. Either way, it seems her wedding day will be an experience she won't forget!
Your wedding day is supposed to be the happiest day of your life. And yet, a video that a couple posted online of a moment they shared from their big day has sparked a great deal of concern for the bride.
The couple took to TikTok to post what they thought was a harmless video of a prank by the groom.
In the video, the groom responds to his bride playfully wiping their wedding cake on his face by grabbing the entire three-tier cake and throwing it in her face.

However, a number of people in the comments section have failed to see the funny side of the clip, taking to the comments to insist that the man's behavior was a "red flag" and telling the bride to "divorce" him.
One person suggested: "'A cake never hurt anyone turns into 'he didn't mean to push me' which turns into 'he only hits me when I make him mad.'"
Another concerned TikToker said: "That looked like it hurt. He went way too far. If he did this in [front] of people what does he do behind closed doors."
A third person insisted she was not a "Karen" and is "good with pranks", but went onto say: "This is [clown] level and unnecessary."
And the criticism just kept pouring in, with yet another TikTok user asking: "If he's behaving publicly like this then what about behind closed doors?"
Another user insists: "You can literally see his mood change to anger and he THREW that cake, leave him sis he's abusive."
A different person commented: "That's not only aggressive but so embarrassing??? If he's comfortable doing that in front of all of her friends and fam... scary."
Others suggested the bride should divorce her new husband:
In response to the outpouring of negative comments, the original poster wrote: "We don't get embarrassed in front of FRIENDS and FAMILY. This is us and it was funny to everyone. I'm sorry [that] you have a different sense of humor."
The couple have since posted another video of them all loved up
However, the TikTok community remained concerned...
