Christina Clemens, 46, disturbingly admitted to having sex with her son on several occasions while being questioned by police.
The Florida mom admitted to keeping it a secret from her longtime husband, while detailing that she slept with her son, Shane Clemens, 22, 'only about 100 times'.
Authorities reported that the incestuous relationship was discovered after she called the police and accused Shane of assaulting her last month.
After he was arrested for domestic violence, Shane told police that he had been having sex with his mother since he was 18 years old.
Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd interviewed Christina about the allegations that she had been sleeping with her son since he was a teenager, to which she replied: "Only about 100 times. I didn't stutter."
Judd explained that Shane had gotten angry about being arrested and spilled the incestuous secret to deputies.
He recalled in a video posted to social media: "So he got mad because she called and we arrested him for hitting mama. And then he said, ‘Well, I'll tell you what, I've been having sex with my mama since I was 18 years old.'”
Judd said in the video, posted on Tuesday, September 15, that police were called to the home following reports of a “domestic violence event” between the mom and her son.
Christina claimed that she was struck by her son, as Judd recalled her saying: "Shane, you ought not to ever lay a hand on your mama for a lot of reasons, but you have one more reason why you shouldn’t."
It's unclear if she was referencing their sexual relationship, but it doesn't make the truth any less disturbing.
Investigators questioned Christina's husband, whose identity has remained hidden, if he knew about the incest that was occurring between the mother and son.
He told police that he was happily married and unaware of the secret, though he did have some suspicions about their behavior.
Judd asked her husband: “Were you aware that your wife was having sex with her son?”
The man replied: "No, I absolutely was not. But I think I am a little suspicious that they used to go in the master bedroom and lock the door."
"What else can you say?" the sheriff asked, as he described the ordeal as a nasty affair.
Christina was being held on a $5,250 bond for both charges before being released on September 4, while Shane has been charged with one count of incest and one count of domestic violence battery, touch or strike.
He remains in custody without bond.
