Many family members of Gabby Petito have taken to social media to share tributes to the late 22-year-old, including her mom.

Per the New York Post, the travel blogger's body was found in a Wyoming campsite on September 20 - nine days after she was reported missing. In the weeks prior, Petito had been on a cross-country road trip with her boyfriend, 23-year-old Brian Laundrie.

Laundrie returned to the Florida home the couple shared with his parents on September 1. He was by himself and in the converted van the pair used to travel the country.

According to his parents, Laundrie vanished on September 14, and despite authorities attempting to find him, he is still missing. Laundrie has also been named as a person of interest in the death of Petito.

Now, Petito's mom has joined Twitter and in her first tweet, sent a message that appears to be aimed at Laundrie.

Writing the tweet on Friday (October 2), Gabby's mom, Nichole Schmidt, wrote: "Mama bear is getting angry!
Turn yourself in! @josephpetito agrees. #justiceforgabby #americasdaughter".

In her Twitter bio, the doting mother writes: "A mom on a mission, the fight for change and prevention will never end! My Gabby will never be forgotten!"

In her first week, Nicole Schmidt tagged Gabby's father, Joseph Petito. In a tweet of his own on Friday, Gabby's father wrote about his daughter: "She is already saving lives. So many stories being sent to us about relationships being left with proper planning for safety, and people are being found due to her influence.

"We have much more work to do, but it’s a start. #gabbypetito #justiceforgabby".

Gabby's stepmother, Tara Petito, and stepfather, Jim Schmidt, have also taken to the social media platform to share their thoughts on their late stepdaughter.

Sharing a picture of a young Gabby in a life vest, stepdad Jim wrote: "It still seems surreal. Miss you Gabs. #gabbypetito #justiceforgabby".

And stepmom Tara shared a photo of her alongside Gabby, with the caption: "Gabby I will love you to the moon and back always and forever #gabbypetito #justiceforgabby".

Last month, following the discovery of Gabby's body, Teton County Coroner Dr. Brent Blue ruled the 22-year-old's death a homicide in his preliminary findings. However, the exact cause of death will be determined once the final autopsy results are obtained.
