Gypsy Rose Blanchard is pregnant!
The advocate and social media personality - known for her tumultuous past and involvement in the killing of her mother, Dee Dee - has shared joyous news with her followers.
The 32-year-old reality TV star announced the pregnancy in a heartfelt video titled "I'm Pregnant, My Journey So Far," which she posted on her YouTube channel on Tuesday, July 9.
In the video, Blanchard reveals that she is expecting her first child with boyfriend Ken Urker, 31.
And in a subsequent Instagram post, she shared several pregnancy shoot shots, along with the caption: "We are proud to announce we are expecting our first child in January 2025."
Blanchard's journey has been marked by profound challenges and transformations. After enduring years of medical abuse under her mother's care, she was involved in Dee Dee's 2015 killing, which ultimately led to her imprisonment.
During her time behind bars, Blanchard and Urker initially connected as pen pals, eventually evolving into a romantic relationship. Urker proposed in 2018, solidifying their commitment despite Blanchard's incarceration.
Their bond persevered through tumultuous times, including Blanchard's subsequent marriage to Ryan Anderson while in prison, which ended earlier this year following her release back in December.
Reflecting on her evolving relationship with Urker, Blanchard emphasized their gradual reconnection from friendship to romance, stating: "Ken and I reconnected as friends. It wasn't like, jump out of a marriage and then let me meet up with you, and boom, we're in a relationship."
Blanchard further shared with PEOPLE: "It wasn't until I knew that my marriage was over that I was like, 'I would like to see you and let's hang out because we never got to hang out before when I was in prison.'"
She described Urker as her first mature love, founded on genuine connection and mutual understanding.
Gypsy Rose's ex, Ryan, has previously spoken out about struggling with their split - which was announced back in Spring.
Sharing a message on Facebook, Gypsy Rose wrote: "People have been asking what is going on in my life. Unfortunately, my husband and I are going through a separation, and I moved in with my parents' home down the bayou.
"I have the support of my family and friends to help guide me through this. I am learning to listen to my heart. Right now, I need time to let myself find… who I am."
In response, Ryan told the Daily Mail back in April: “I’m not doing well with it. For me, it just came out of the blue.”
He also spoke of his shock when Gypsy Rose was spotted in Louisiana with her ex-fiancé, Ken Urker, to whom she was engaged in 2018 before ending things in 2019.
"I had no idea she still had such strong feelings for him," he told the outlet.
Nevertheless, there were some people who were happy to see Gypsy Rose move on.
Blanchard's stepmother, Kristy Blanchard, played a pivotal role in reuniting the couple, admitting she actively encouraged their reconciliation. "It's all my fault, and I'll gladly take the blame. I wanted them back together," Kristy shared with PEOPLE, emphasizing her role in facilitating Urker's move to Louisiana to be closer to Blanchard.
Kristy expressed her joy for Blanchard's newfound happiness, stating" "Gypsy will finally get her happily ever after. Ken's moving to New Orleans to be with her soon. He found a place. Gypsy is so excited to have him closer. A love like theirs comes once in a lifetime."
