Husband of conjoined twin Abby Hensel forced to respond to baby rumors
The husband of Abby Hensel, who is one of America's most famous conjoined twins alongside her sister Brittany, has spoken out about their rumored baby.
After shooting to fame following an appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show at the age of six back in 1996, the twins have starred in documentaries about their lives.
Abby and Brittany Hensel have previously opened up about some of the everyday struggles they may face, as well as how they can live full lives while carrying out tasks like driving and working.
They are dicephalus twins, a rare occurrence in human history, meaning that they have brains, spinal cords, hearts, stomachs, and lungs, but they share a circulatory system, a liver, a bladder, and reproductive organs.
Their fame has continued on social media, but Abby's husband, Josh Bowling, has now clarified that a popular TikTok account which was claimed to have been run by his family is actually fake.
He has also responded to baby rumors that have recently surfaced.
Josh addresses baby rumors
Abby and Brittany made headlines after the 35-year-olds were seen carrying a newborn baby while running errands in September.
Weeks on, they were seen carrying a baby in a car seat.
The twins, who are elementary school teachers, reportedly took to TikTok on August 30, writing the word 'Blessed' alongside a paparazzi snap of them carrying the baby.
But as many of us know, in 2026, you can't trust everything you see online.
Speaking of the TikTok account, Josh revealed to People: “We’re unsure who exactly runs it,
“But I believe [it’s run by] someone who [downloaded] a significant amount of photos from my mother’s [Facebook] account.”
He explained that the twins have never owned a TikTok account, with the family making their Facebook accounts private some time ago.
Josh said that this is why the fraudulent TikTok account posts images that are already in the public domain, adding: “They... started using photos available to the media and everyone else. I can definitely guarantee that it’s not us.”
He said that they hadn't reported the account as it 'wasn't an issue' until recently.
“But as of late, it has been the source of drawing significant media attention we’re not wanting,” he added.
Josh added: “At first, we just assumed it was someone trying to make a quick buck or something, so it wasn’t worth saying anything. After [the] media believed [it] to actually be us, I knew I had to say something.”
He acknowledged 'the extreme interest' in whether his family had welcomed a child into their lives, and declined to provide comment on the matter.
Abby's secret marriage to Josh
Abby married Josh, an army veteran and nurse, in a quiet ceremony back in 2021, though the information wasn't made public until 2024.
The twins, who are conjoined from the torso, have gone on to lead successful lives, earning degrees from Bethel University and now working as elementary school teachers at their local school.
Josh and the Hensel twins live together in Minnesota, where the sisters were born and raised.
