Justin Bieber’s ex Sahara Ray’s sister shares heartbreaking confession after model’s death at 34
The younger sister of Justin Bieber’s former flame Sahara Ray has shared an emotional confession following her sudden death at the age of just 34.
Ray’s sister, Ruby, remembered her “beautiful big sister” in a moving social media post, describing Sahara as a “force of nature” whose vibrant personality made her impossible to forget.
Sahara's sister's heartbreaking confession
“A light so bright that this world feels impossibly dimmer without her in it,” Ruby wrote.
She went on to explain that Sahara had been someone she admired throughout her life, calling her the most incredible person she had ever known.
Struggling to imagine life without her older sister, Ruby shared a heartbreaking admission about the loss, “I just want my big sister,” she confessed.
She also expressed her longing for more time together, writing: “I want more time. More laughter. More conversations. More of her.”
Ruby ended her tribute with a poignant message about the enduring love she has for Sahara, stating, “If love alone could have kept you here, Sahara, you would have lived a thousand lifetimes. I will spend the rest of mine loving you."
Sahara died in hospital on Sunday, with her family confirming that she was surrounded by loved ones when she passed away. Her official cause of death has not yet been revealed.
The model had recently become a mother, welcoming a daughter named Snow in January, with her final Instagram grid post, shared in July, dedicated to her baby girl in a touching, and now even more poignant tribute.
Sahara was known for her modelling career and swimwear line, as well as her reported romantic connections to Justin Bieber and Cody Simpson.
The model had discussed medical issues
The model had discussed her ongoing battle with addiction, having checked into rehab in Malibu in 2021, telling her fans in a video, "Hey, guys, I just wanted to update you on the journey that I'm on right now," she revealed to her fans in a video. "I just checked into a mental health, wellness, drug and alcohol addiction treatment center retreat. It's really beautiful. It's in Malibu."
"I'm really excited to share my story with you guys. I'll be here for 30 days. This is day one," she continued. "I'm also documenting everything, and I'll be doing a YouTube video, so you guys can see the really vulnerable side. I'm going to keep it light on Instagram."
Then, in 2024, Sahara shared that she had been diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome, a condition in which the body's immune system attacks the nerves, per May Clinic.
"Weakness and tingling in the hands and feet are usually the first symptoms. These sensations can quickly spread and may lead to paralysis. In its most serious form, Guillain-Barre syndrome is a medical emergency. Most people with the condition need treatment in a hospital," the report stated.
"Right now, I'm paralyzed from the tops of my upper thighs all the way down to my feet. I can't walk at all," she explained. "I am primarily in a wheelchair, and I have a walker. So I haven't been on Instagram, and I haven't been on TikTok because I’ve been pretty depressed, obviously."
"This is really hard to deal with. I've been trying to keep a good attitude and be hopeful that my feeling comes back, but there's always a chance it just stays like this," she said. "I'm really hoping and praying that I get to walk again someday."
Her sister’s tribute is one of many pouring in from family, friends, and fans, who had followed Ray’s career and love life.
