Karoline Leavitt makes extremely unexpected career move after admitting 'regrets'
The White House’s Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt is teaming up with the wife of late right-wing activist Charlie Kirk, Erika Kirk, to give a talk about “free speech” at a college as part of a nationwide tour.
The 'This is the Turning Point USA Tour' will kick off at George Washington University on April 2, with Karoline as the first special guest.
Erika will continue the tour visiting college campuses across the country.
The announcement of her guest appearance comes just days after Karoline shared a post about regrets on her Instagram stories.
The post read: "Things you’ll never regret: Praying, putting your phone down, listening over talking, calling your mom, reading the bible.
"Investing in memories, being thankful, forgiving others, forgiving yourself, giving a compliment, drinking more water, saying 'I love you,' and trusting god."
Karoline has received hate comments on social media
The 28-year-old government official’s cryptic post might have been in reaction to the criticism she has received online for her involvement in the Turning Point tour.
One person said on X: "Karoline Leavitt and Erika Kirk are headlining the Turning Point "Christian Blondes Speak Out On Stuff" college tour."
Erika took over Turning Point USA, the organisation that advocates for conservative politics on high school and college campuses, following the murder of her husband.
As stated by Turning Point Tour on the GWU event’s website: "Each stop is a chance to honor Charlie’s mission and keep the fight alive.
“We know he wouldn’t want us to surrender or be coerced into silence.
“Free speech is only free if we use our voice."
Days after the announcement of her guest appearance on the tour Karoline celebrated her baby shower.
Fans joke about her 32-year age gap with husband
She is pregnant with her second child with 60-year-old husband Nicholas Riccio, who was nowhere to be seen at the event.
Fans were quick to spot her husband’s absence and made jokes at the couple’s expense.
One social media user said: “Her old homeless baby daddy get kicked out yet?"
Another asked: “Where’s her grandaddy husband?”
Real estate developer Nicholas Riccio also skipped her first baby shower in 2024, but Karoline has defended her husband’s tendency to keep a low profile online.
"He's not on social media. He's very private, and he's an extremely hands-on father. He and my son are the best of friends.
He's my greatest supporter, he's my best friend, and he's my rock. He's my number one fan, the best dad, and just the best man I've ever met," she told journalist Megyn Kelly.
