A resurfaced video has people convinced that Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs was checking Justin Bieber for a wire when they met up.

It was reported last week that the now 54-year-old hip-hop mogul will stay behind bars until his trial for sex trafficking charges begins.

Combs, who pleaded not guilty, was denied bail after offering a bond worth $50 million on Tuesday (September 17).

The 'I'll Be Missing You' rapper was arrested on Monday in Manhattan, New York, about half a year after federal authorities carrying out a sex trafficking investigation raided his homes in Los Angeles and Miami.

Combs has been sued by a number of people who say he physically or sexually abused them.

His former girlfriend, singer Cassie, is one of the women who have made claims against him.

In the wake of the arrest, several videos of Combs and Bieber have resurfaced on social media.

One video, in particular, has drawn significant attention, showing Diddy saying goodbye to Bieber, who recently welcomed his first child.

In the footage, Diddy appears to pat Bieber down, sparking speculation online.

"Diddy appears to be checking Justin Beiber to see if he is wearing a wire in this video," one person wrote.

Some people disagreed, however, as another person said: "Diddy wouldn’t have known if Justin Beiber was wearing a wire in this video just by tapping his chest, there could be more explanation to what he did here."

This isn't the only video featuring Diddy and Bieber to go viral.

Social media users have rediscovered a decade-old video from Bieber’s YouTube channel, in which Diddy speaks about spending "48 hours" with the then-15-year-old pop star.

In the video, Diddy refers to their time together as "a 15-year-old's dream" and says: "For the next 48 hours, he's with me. And we're gonna go full. Buck full crazy."

In another clip, Diddy greets Bieber in a studio, commenting on the young singer’s recent distance from him.

"What’s up man, you good?" Diddy asks, noting Bieber’s success in selling out arenas.

"Starting to act different, huh? You haven’t been calling me and hanging out the way we used to hang out."

A then 16-year-old Bieber responds: "I mean, you tried to get in contact with me throughout all my [projects] and what not - but you never got my number." Bieber then offers to share his number with the rapper.

If convicted, Diddy faces a sentence of 15 years up to life in prison.

His lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, declared his client's innocence, and described the "freak offs" as consensual: "Is it sex trafficking? Not if everybody wants to be there."

Combs will be detained at Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center until his trial.
